A great sports game is coming to the Wii U. EA SPORTS today announced from EA Summer Showcase that they are developing their most popular video game, FIFA 13 which will be available at launch of the Nintendo Wii U.
During the world exclusive live demo of FIFA 13 on Wii U, we got to see how players can use the GamePad to create a totally new gameplay experience. When taking a free kick, you can freely maneuver the GamePad around the stadium as if you’re standing at the spot readying yourself for an effort at goal. Then, take aim and add spin to give you a more rewarding shot. There is also a new way to shoot in regular gameplay - Shake and Shoot lets you shoot using the touchscreen, making it more intuitive than ever to pick a corner and beat the goalie.
The GamePad also lets you change your tactics on the fly, watch your stats from the palm of your hand, make substitutions without exiting gameplay or going to a menu, adjust formations on the go, send players on runs by dragging your finger on the touch screen, and up the pressure using man marking with a tap of the GamePad. As EA’s Mat Prior explained during the presentation, the new features in the Wii U stay true to the core FIFA gameplay experience, but subsequently open up the game to new players making this one of the most accessible EA SPORTS games ever.
What do you guys think – excited to check it out?
