Posted by EA SPORTS at 02:23PM on Wednesday, April, 25, 2012
With your feedback in mind, the SSX dev team worked hard on the upcoming Mt. Eddie & Classic Characters DLC to bring back the classic SSX experience. They wanted the DLC to have the same feel as classic SSX titles – hence, Mt. Eddie was born; an SSX TRICKY inspired mountain with billboards and fireworks and more.

SSX March Updates
Posted by EA SPORTS at 10:48AM on Saturday, March, 31, 2012
Even though the reviews have been outstanding and the fan reaction overwhelmingly positive, the SSX team did not take a break to head up to Whistler and do some real world snowboarding. Rather than kicking back and relaxing they went right to work on making SSX even better, including addressing some issues with the game that the SSX community brought to our attention. We’ve released a patch via PSN & Xbox Live for SSX that brings RiderNet Radio (VOIP Support) to the PS3* and addresses some bugs that have been affecting a small percentage of users on both PS3 & X360.

History of SSX
Posted by Andrea Silvers at 10:44AM on Tuesday, March, 06, 2012
The release of SSX this week has brought back memories for a lot of people, but not everyone knows where the game started. The executive producer and creative director of the first game was Steve Rechtschaffner, the inventor of the now Olympic snowboard event, Boardercross. In fact, SSX stands for snowboard super cross.

SSX Reviews
Posted by EA SPORTS at 12:01PM on Wednesday, February, 29, 2012
Extreme sports games died in the mid-2000s. They were a relic of last generation's ideals, a fleeting memory of joy that developers couldn't capture again. Then SSX rose from the dead in the most spectacular fashion, like Lazarus busting a 1080 nosegrab.

A Letter from SSX Creative Director Todd Batty to SSX Fans
Posted by EA SPORTS at 08:50AM on Thursday, December, 22, 2011
I wanted to let you all know firsthand that we recently decided to take a couple of extra weeks to give our game the final bit of polish we think it deserves. This means that we won’t be shipping the game to you until Feb. 28 in North America and Mar. 2 in the rest of the world. We hope that given how long you have waited for SSX to come back, you won’t mind waiting just a little bit longer.

EA SPORTS and Pretty Lights Collaborate to Remix SSX Franchise Anthem – Run-DMC’s ‘It’s Tricky’
Posted by EA SPORTS at 08:49AM on Friday, November, 18, 2011
‘It’s Tricky’ by Run-DMC, the fan-favorite and unofficial anthem of the EA SPORTS SSX franchise is back by popular demand! The track has been remixed by the artist, Pretty Lights for the SSX in-gamesoundtrack and will be triggered dynamically in-game as players achieve ‘tricky’ state by linking tricks together without bailing. Just as the latest incarnation of SSX has its own unique identity, we wanted to bring ‘It’s Tricky’ back with its own identity as well.

SSX Iconic Terrain blog #5 – Underground Tunnels, Big Air
Posted by EA SPORTS at 08:55AM on Saturday, August, 06, 2011
We talk a lot about the challenges presented by the topology on the mountain, but what about being INSIDE the mountain? Although not that common, underground tunnels present the wonderful premise of offering routes of varied direction and heights! That is, if you have the skills to get up there. Opportunities will present themselves to the rider to catch secret tunnels exposed high up in the chasm walls. They’re worth the exploration – there’s only thing more rewarding that dropping down the steal the race from an unsuspecting competitor right in the dying moments is to pull a massive trick while doing so!

SSX Developer Blog - Owning the Planet
Posted by EA SPORTS at 08:52PM on Thursday, June, 16, 2011
One of the cornerstones of SSX is tracks - levels, runs, peaks, mountains. Many qualities combine to create that ineffable SSX experience: the way that there are a million options, how you see new lines down every time you try a run, how great moments flow in to one another, how you round a corner to see a gorgeous vista, and many others. Creating levels like this has always been an immense challenge, but we knew from the beginning that we needed to go a step beyond: not only did we need incredible levels, we needed an incredible number of them.
