Electronic Entertainment Expo - E3 2009

Today the Game Critics announced their awards for the Best of E3!  EA, BioWare and Valve, an EA Partner studio came away with awards as listed:

Best PC Game: Star Wars: The Old Republic (BioWare Austin/LucasArts)

Best Role Playing Game: Mass Effect 2 (BioWare/Electronic Arts for Xbox 360, PC)

Best Sports Game: Fight Night Round 4 (EA Canada/EA Sports for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

Best Online Multiplayer: Left 4 Dead 2 (Valve/EAP for Xbox 360, PC)

What games from E3 2009 are you most excited to get your hands on??

The Game Critics Best of E3 Awards Nominees were named today, an EA was the publisher with the most games nominated!  (18 nominations total!) Stay tuned, winners will be announced Tuesday June 23.

In the meantime take a closer look at EA's nominees for the Best of E3!

Sugar Ray Leonard, a fixture in the upcoming Fight Night Round 4 game, demo'd the game on the Live Stage at the EA booth today. Leonard, named Fighter of the Decade for the 1980s, is one of the key fixtures in the upcoming boxing game. Additional fighters include Lennox Lewis or Mike Tyson.

During the event he played two games with the Fight Night Round 4 producer and won both games.

1:00 PM? Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 2 and Star Wars: The Old Republic.  Join Paul Barnett, Creative Director of Mythic Entertainment, as he talks dragons, aliens and Jedis with the 2 most famous physicians in gaming.  BioWare co-founders Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk reveal new details of the 3 biggest, most ambitious games to come out of BioWare, along with their latest mind-blowing trailers.

2:00 PM ?Star Wars: The Old Republic – come by and witness the world Premier cinematic trailer from BioWare and LucasArts, “Deceived,” which showcases events around the destruction of the Jedi Temple. It was the crowning achievement of the Sith Empire’s ambitious military strategy and the moment that changed the history of the Old Republic forever. You may have read about it before, but our first cinematic trailer captures this event with breathtaking action and beautiful detail.

5:00 PM ?All Points Bulletin – Conflict, customization and celebrity, the three C’s that define All Points Bulletin, the latest game from Realtime Worlds. Join Realtime Worlds own Dave Jones as he walks you through the mean streets of San Paro and introduces you to  the Criminals and Enforcers that make up this modern, crime-ridden city.

Carlos Navarro jumps in the ring with Producer Brian Hayes as the two duke it out at the EA SPORTS FIGHT NIGHT Round 4 booth. Here's a look at two fighters that the community have been dying to play with, Thomas Hearns and Miguel Cotto.
