Crysis 2 Wins at European Games Award Show

On August 13, 2011, the European Games Award Show took place on the event-ship, Pure Liner 1. Over half a million votes were cast and the winners were announced. Crytek took home six awards, thanks to Crysis 2!

Crysis 2's "The Wall" trailer recently won the Mi6 Gold award for "Best Use of Sound" and the Mi6 Silver award for "Best Game Footage Trailer." It was produced by Crytek and Maverick Media, a UK video games trailer advertising agency.

The ninth Weapon Focus is literally HOT! The X-43 Microwave Incendiary Klystron Emitter (MIKE) is a high-power experimental directed-energy weapon based around weaponized microwaves. It instantly heat's the body's water and fat molecules causing incapacitating temporal pain. Ouch!

Crysis 2 Game with Developers Event Part 2

This Saturday, March 5th, we'll be hosting a Game with Developers event from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm PST/9:00 pm - 11:00 pm GMT in North America and 8:00 am - 10:00 am PST/4:00 pm - 6:00 pm GMT in Europe on both Xbox LIVE and PC. The Xbox LIVE event is open to all Xbox LIVE Gold members, but don't forget that this weekend is Xbox LIVE's Free Gold Weekend for U.S. only. This means that ALL U.S. members, including Silver (Free), will be able to hop online, download the demo and battle with Crytek!

Crysis 2 PC Demo Issues

The Crysis 2 PC demo has been overwhelmingly popular, this has both an upside and downside. The upside was that our Ranked Server Partners had to scale up for demand, nearly doubling capacity, and did so seamlessly. The downside was we have overwhelmed our backend servers and this has required us to make a few changes to help better balance the load.

Yesterday we asked our Facebook fans to Like a certain post 1,000 times to unlock the first Community Challenge. Guess what? We reached 1,000 likes in 30 minutes! Community Challenge #1 set a goal of 1 million kills with the SCAR weapon, counting kills from both PC and Xbox 360.
