The biggest question asked by the community, no doubt, is why is “insert boxer name” not in the game? That’s one question with many answers and it pretty much depends on which boxer you’re talking about. I’ll let Brizzo break it down as to why some boxers make it in while others don’t.
I’ve been heaving my chest these days watching my Filipino brother Manny Pacquiao outclass boxers fight after fight (which btw, looks like his next fight will be May 7 according to Top Rank top dog Todd DuBoef on his twitter). With the possibility of a Wladimir Klitschko and UK Cover Athlete David Haye Heavyweight unification fight (will that happen in 2011?), I am excited to virtually box with these two against each other in game as well as pitting them up against some of the great heavies like Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, and Mike Tyson. Look out for more about Haye and his recent mocap visit to EA Canada.
For those that are peeved their favorite boxer isn’t in the game, luckily there are some pretty sweet enhancements with this year’s Create-a-Boxer feature. So for all of you Mayweather fans, you’ll still be able to create or download a Money CAB you can be satisfied with, along with up to 100 other created fighters. I know I’ll be downloading vvIllAFASCRIlla’s version of Mayweather next year as his PS3 likeness of the boxer was the most downloaded in Round 4. I’ll be using him as a punching bag as I deliver punches-in-bunches with Manny’s speed and power that the game’s captured with such perfection ;) Look out for more information on this year’s CAB system coming soon along with more information from our Art developers about the visual improvements to Pacquiao and others in the game.
With over 50 licensed boxers along with the characters you meet in Champion Mode, you will have the ability to download CABs that we know our fans will create just as well as our team would. For those in the game, here’s the list of boxers that have agreed to be created by our developers in Fight Night Champion:

Both fighters love a good fight and don't expect to see either running from an opportunity to exchange punches in the middle of the ring.
