FIFA 22 VOLTA Football

Feb 02, 2022

Welcome to VOLTA Arcade!

Welcome to VOLTA ARCADE! A brand new way to play FIFA online with friends. It’s exclusively available on weekends-only in VOLTA FOOTBALL and is a fun-filled lighthearted affair where you and three other players can battle it out across a series of innovative ‘’Party Games’’ including Foot Tennis, Dodgeball, and more!

Foot Tennis

Ready, set, serve. Put your best foot forward and get into Foot Tennis! The goal is to win 10 points before the other team in a 2 v 2 set up. For a little change of scenery, Foot Tennis is played on a tennis court. You and your teammate can pass to each other up to 3 times before kicking the ball over the net - so make sure you’re in sync. Serving duties are taken in turns after each point. Follow these rules and you’re in the game. But be aware if the ball bounces twice on one side or the ball is kicked out of bounds then the rival team will get the points. Happy serving!

Dodgeball

Let’s play ball! The mission is to win 15 points before the other team. In a 2v2 match up, games are played on a rectangular pitch with a line dividing opposing teams. There is also an option to add walls to enclose the pitch for a tighter game.

You earn points by (drum roll please) hitting players! Balls must hit players directly; bounces do not count. Players can run around and slide to dodge balls. Each ball has a timer to prevent ‘’ball hoarding’’ (fair games only!). The team in possession must kick the ball before the timer expires otherwise they’ll lose the ball and forfeit a point. The game begins with two balls, but the number of balls increases over time.

Sharpen those reflexes... It’s dodgeball time!

Team Keepaway

Take ownership. Claim the pitch. Welcome to Team Keepaway.

The goal is to hold onto the ball for as long as possible, while pulling off skill moves and collecting trophies with a 2v2 setup and teams split into red and blue duking it out on a standard pitch.

Players start in the corners, the ball sits in the middle. Once the clock starts, teams race furiously to gain possession of the ball! Teams earn points by:

  • Holding onto the ball
  • Beating opponents with skill moves
  • Collecting randomly-generated trophies quickest

By earning points, you earn the pitch. The pitch will turn red or blue depending on which team has the most points.

To win, claim the pitch or the majority of it when time expires.

Paint the pitch red… Or blue!

Wall Ball Elimination

The game is simple. Kick the ball off the wall and be the last player standing to claim victory.

This is a four player free-for-all. Every player for themselves. To make the game more tricky, you can also add obstacles across the pitch. More risk, more reward!

When the game starts, one player will have to gain possession of the ball and kick it off the ball. The player will have a limited time to kick the ball, if they are not successful before the timer expires, they are eliminated.

After the ball hits the wall OR a player has been eliminated, a new player is chosen at random to kick the ball at the wall.

Rival players may attempt to block kicks, but they cannot hold onto the ball themselves.

Points are earned based on the order of elimination.

Happy Eliminating!

Corner Scramble

Score as many goals in your corner as possible before the clock runs out!

Corner Scramble is a four player free-for-all played on a small pitch where each player has a goal of their own.

Every round, players start in their assigned corners. Then, one to three balls pop up in the middle of the pitch. You’ll have to race to win the balls, then score in your assigned goals.

For example, if there is one ball, then all four players can try to win that one ball and get back to their corners as quickly as possible. Players can only control one ball at a time. Players also must be within a few feet of their assigned goals in order to shoot.

Once all the balls have been scored, a new game begins.

Scramble team, assemble!

Disco Lava

Dancing shoes at the ready.

For this game, you’ll need fast feet to jump on the white tiles as they appear while staying away from the lava!

A four-player free-for-all on a pitch is divided into a grid system where a random set of white tiles will appear. You’ll need to dribble over these white tiles, with the first player to touch each tile earning points, and the tiles turning their designated colour.

Once all tiles are claimed the grid will wipe and a new set of white tiles will appear.

The game lasts for two minutes and whoever collects the most tiles wins.

Quick Goal

Earn the most points by tucking goals away in the highlighted nets as quickly as you can!

This is four players in a free-for-all, circular pitch with 12 small goals around the sides and the option to add obstacles in the middle of the pitch for extra difficulty.

For every round, players start in the middle of the pitch. They can dribble around the pitch, but they cannot shoot so make sure your ball carrying skills are on point. After a couple of seconds, one to four of the goals will light up.

Players then have to score in the highlighted goals fast as they can! The faster you score, the more points you earn. Only the first goal scored in each net matters. If another player scores first, you’ve got to find another goal.

Target Gallery

Embrace your inner archer and score as many points as possible by hitting the moving targets

In Target Gallery, four players fight it out in a free-for-all set up on a circular pitch with 12 tricky targets moving all over the place!

There are three types of targets: golden targets, player walls and rings.

Players have two minutes to hit targets and score points. Golden targets are worth the most points, followed by the player walls and then finally, the rings.

The golden targets and player walls are knocked down when they’re hit. While down, they can’t be hit. After a while, they’ll pop back up. New balls are given to players once the originals have all been used to hit targets.

Bucket Bonanza

Score as many points as you can by lobbing the ball through your opponent’s bucket.

This is a 2v2 game. Teams start on opposite sides of the pitch. The game is played on a rectangular pitch which includes two lofted buckets and backboards on either side of it, with a box drawn around the hoop (resembling a three-point line).

You can tackle, pass, lob, skill - all of the normal mechanics of FIFA - to try to gain possession and create goal-scoring chances.

Lobbing the ball through your target bucket at the end of the pitch will reward your team with either 1, 2 or 3 points.

For 1 Point: Shoot from OUTSIDE the indicated rectangular box.
For 2 Points: Shoot from INSIDE the rectangular box.
For 3 Points: Shots from inside the moving circle indicated on the pitch.

Every time possession changes the location of the circle changes with it.

After a bucket is scored, players return to their sides of the pitch and the defending team gets possession of the ball.

Whichever team scores the most points at the end wins. Simple.

Closest to the Pin

Keep control of the ball and kick as close as possible to the centre ring in a ring of circles! Think of it like Ring-ception.

Closest to the pin is a four player free-for-all game with four circles drawn on the pitch to create a bullseye for easy targeting. Each player starts at a corner with three balls, and the game is played over five rounds.  With every round, you need to kick your three balls as close to the bullseye as you can - you can go at your own pace, no need to take turns! The game works similarly to curling, so you can knock opponents’ balls out of their way.

After all four players have kicked their three balls, points are awarded to each of you based on the location of each ball:

  • Bullseye - 1000 Points
  • Second Ring - 500 Points
  • Third Ring - 300 Points
  • Fourth Ring - 100 Points
  • Outside of the target - 0 Points

As the game progresses, static or moving obstacles are added to the pitch to make it more difficult.

Whoever grabs the most points at the end of five rounds wins the game and the bragging rights!
