EVEN MORE LIMITED TERRITORY TESTING FOR PVZ 3!

We’re entering limited testing once again!

PLANTS VS. ZOMBIES™

Plants vs. Zombies 2

Welcome back to the Lawn!

Sorry we’ve been busy at Tacoganza, but, now that we have found Dave, let's get back to it!  Matt Townsend here, head botanist of the Plants vs. Zombies™ 3 team, back to announce that PvZ 3 is once again entering limited testing in select territories focusing on early progression & narrative.

Neighborville is excited to welcome you back, let's take a minute to talk about what's new since you last visited. Something has gone wrong in Neighborville and nothing is where it should be!  As you defend lawns across Neighborville, you’ll meet the townsfolk and new plants, many of whom will need your help in restoring Neighborville to its former glory. Old favorites are back as well, check out one of Dave’s favorite games, Vasebreaker! Never to be outwitted, Zomboss has diversified, putting new strategies and challenges on the Lawn! Dave’s also bringing some new tricks to help you push back the zombie horde farther than ever before, including new ways to play, and some great neighborville challenges along the way.

We hope you enjoy the new adventures on the Lawn with a focus on Neighborville and making sure it's an undead free zone.  You can expect new areas to unlock, new friends to meet, rebuilding Neighborville after Zomboss’s latest diabolical plot, exciting reward moments, and the story of Dave’s return from Tacoganza.  In addition you’ll still see improved gameplay, challenging puzzles, new in game events and modes, as well as slight gameplay adjustments. We’ve still got a ways to go before Neighborville is ready for all its new inhabitants, but we wanted to share our progress with you along the way!  Thank you for playing with us on this early step of our journey to make this the most exciting and engaging Plants vs Zombies so far!

If you’ve got questions, we’ve got answers! Our Q&A below should address some of the questions you may have about this new Neighborville we’re building.

Q: What is PvZ 3 all about?

A: While we’ve still got a lot of Neighborville to build and explore, at its core, PvZ 3 is all about taking you back to the Lawn where it all began. Your favorite characters are there with some new exciting twists for you to discover and you’ll meet new Neighbors along the way! You’ll defend Neighborville and restore it to its pre-Zomboss glory in classic lane-based tower defense gameplay while encountering new areas, new tricks, and new plants along the way. Make sure to keep up in our Garden events to ensure you’re Dave’s #1 helper!

Q: What characters and gameplay changes should I expect compared to previous PvZ games?

A: PvZ 3–even in this early stage–is all about capturing that classic feel we all know and love and bringing it to the modern mobile platforms. We want old fans to revel in the experience and strategy, meet up with old friends, and help Dave all over Town. We also want to bring in a whole new generation to help defend against the ever looming threat of Dr. Zomboss. As such, we’ve gone back to the basics and brought back things that made the original game great, as well as adding other fan favorites from Plants vs Zombies along the way. We’ve blended the strategy of past PvZ games with fun puzzles built around your plant team and the Lawn, making every battle unique and exciting!

Q: Will Popcap still be making new content for PvZ 2?

A: Of Course! PvZ 2 continues to thrill fans globally and we hope you enjoy all the time travel zaniness as they continue to create new adventures!

Q: Why is PvZ 3 going into testing so early?

A: Plants vs. Zombies is a well-loved series with fans from all over the world. We want to make sure we bring the best experience to its fans, and as such we want to make sure we test early and often. We look forward to building this adventure and gathering feedback from our fans from the earliest stages of the Garden, starting with gameplay!

Q: How can I participate in early testing?

A: We are currently releasing the game on the Google Play store in Australia, Philippines, UK and the Netherlands for a short period of time. If the game is available in your country, head to Google Play’s Open Beta store and search for “Plants vs Zombies 3.” In order to participate in the Open Beta for PvZ 3, you’ll need to have an Android Galaxy S6 tier device with Android 7 or higher and at least 2GB of RAM

Q: When will PvZ 3 officially launch?

A: We are far from a set date for PvZ 3’s official launch. This is just the beginning of us building towards an awesome future, but don't worry! We’ll be checking in often with new things to test and new areas to explore. We’re just starting to grow our Garden, but Dave is always excited to see new friends on the Lawn, so be on the lookout for more experiences we’ll be testing in the near future!
