The Madden Ultimate Team holiday program kicks off today and will run for 12 days up through the 25th. We’re calling it Ghosts of Madden Past. We’ve created cards for 30 players based on past versions of Madden, such as T.O. on the ‘Niners. We then increased several attributes to get each Ghost card at 99 OVR. We have one player dating back to Madden 02 and all others are spread out through Madden 09. We’ll be releasing two of these players each day. For the math majors out there, we’ll have three additional release days after the 25th to finish distributing the last six players.
For each of these players, we’ll be releasing 10 Limited Edition cards as well. We will not be releasing collections for any of these cards. We don’t want to ruin the fun of opening the presents, so I’m not going to tell you the names of all of the players right now, but stay tuned to the @MUT_DevTeam twitter feed to get updates on release times.
To make room for the Ghosts, we’re going to be dialing back the Fantasy Heroes for the next couple of weeks starting with the Week 14 FF cards and collections now available, and we’ll be releasing the Week 16 and Week 17 Fantasy players together after the Week 17 games wrap up.
We’ve also added alternate Uniforms to the Legendary packs, as well as a new Rod Woodson (CB) card.
