The Spike VGAs brought several EA titles into the spotlight, but it was Fight Night Champion and Mass Effect 3 that ended up stealing the show – and earning two wonderful gaming awards.
Fight Night Champion took home the belt for Best Individual Sports Game, beating out titles such as Virtua Tennis 4 and Top Spin 4 in a vote made by the official VGA council. But in the fan-voted category of Most Anticipated Game, it was Mass Effect 3 that went home wearing the laurel. Big thanks to all the BioWare and Mass Effect fans that helped us win this coveted category!
Awards, of course, weren’t the only things announced at this year’s VGAs. BioWare unveiled its next addition to the Command & Conquer universe – Generals 2 – and the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice was revealed to be the next cover athlete for NFL Blitz. Mass Effect 3 also premiered a new trailer for Mass Effect 3, which you can watch below:
Congratulations again to all of our EA VGA nominees and winners!
