Pass the Ball Like a Pro in Madden NFL 25

EA SPORTS Game Changers are high-profile members of the EA SPORTS community who use their expert knowledge of our games to inform, entertain, and assist others.

Today's Game Changers blog comes to us from “ZFarls,” who co-writes the official strategy guides for both Madden NFL and NCAA Football 14, and also runs MaddenTips.com. Follow him on Twitter at @MaddenBible.

The best way to light up the scoreboard in Madden NFL 25 is by passing the ball. It all starts with picking a play and learning how to read the defense. Once you snap the ball, you will have to choose what type of pass to throw.

HOW TO LOB PASS

If you are trying to go downfield or need to put some touch on the ball, go for a lob pass.

HOW TO BULLET PASS

If you are looking to fit the ball into a tight window over the middle of the field, go for a bullet pass. The defense will have a very tough time stopping your aerial attack if you mix up your trajectories and pass leads.

HOW TO STAY IN THE POCKET

Looking to upgrade your passing attack in Madden NFL 25? Start by staying in the pocket. The offensive line does a great job of forming a nice, clean pocket where you can unleash throws all over the field. If you are always rolling out or dropping back too far behind the line of scrimmage, the offensive line will have a tougher time giving you the time you need to look downfield.

HOW TO PASS PROTECT

When facing a blitz-happy opponent in Madden NFL 25, it is important to know how to pass protect. Any blitz in the game can be picked up with a proper formation and slide protection. By taking a quick look before the snap, you can be pick up any pressure that your opponent sends and then hit them where they are vulnerable.

HOW TO READ PROGRESSIONS

The last key to a great passing attack is to focus on receivers besides you’re your primary wideout. The best quarterbacks scan the field and target 3-4 options on any play, and it’s no different in Madden NFL.Make sure you know your primary, secondary and safety valve reads on every play.
