Madden NFL 25 Roster Update: Week 3

The dominance of the passing game continued in Week 2 of the young NFL season, as 11 quarterbacks threw for more than 300 yards.

Here are three of the biggest improvements made in the Madden NFL 25 Week 3 roster update.

EDDIE ROYAL, SAN DIEGO CHARGERS WR
The Bolts got their first win in the Mike McCoy era, and Royal's exploits were a big reason why. The former Broncos receiver continued his torrid start to 2013, catching seven balls for 90 yards and scoring three touchdowns. Through two weeks, Royal has already matched his single-season career-high with five touchdown receptions. Royal's OVR rating increases five points to 79, as he received a five-point boost to CTH (82) and nine-point increase to his SPC rating.

GIOVANI BERNARD, CINCINNATI BENGALS RB
Big things were expected out of the 5'9 rookie from UNC after starring in the preseason, and if last week is any indication, Bernard is well on his way to living up to the hype. The rookie scored a pair of touchdowns in the Bengals' win over the Steelers on Monday night. His 27-yard touchdown reception was particularly impressive, as it gave the Bengals the lead for good. Bernard's OVR rating increases two points to 77, and his awareness (51) went up four points.

DONTARI POE, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS DT
The Chiefs have already matched their 2012 win total after a 2-0 start. While much of the deserved spotlight goes to improved coaching and quarterback play, Poe's emergence as a dominant defensive lineman is another big catalyst. The 2012 first-rounder has made huge strides in his second year and already has 3.5 sacks on the season for a stingy Chiefs defense. Poe's OVR increases two points to 81, and he also saw a three-point increase to his PWM rating (88).
