PvZ Garden Warfare: A Labor of Love

If you would have told me two years ago that today we would be on the verge of unleashing Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare on the world, I would have told you that you were nuts.  Just the idea of creating a multiplayer shooter set in the Plants vs. Zombies universe was initially a hard concept to grasp. When we started working on it, I’m not sure many of us believed it was a project we’d get to finish.  We thought the game would never see the light of day and that someone would have stepped in to move us on to another project. Fortunately, that never happened!

Instead, we’ve spent over two years brainstorming, designing, prototyping, creating and playtesting with the goal of making a game that was not only fun and easy to play, but would make you laugh, smile, grip the controller tight and keep you coming back for more. We wanted an experience true to the PvZ name. Garden Warfare has truly been a labor of love for us, so I sincerely hope that you have as much fun playing it as we’ve had in creating it.

Since we are about to launch headlong into battle, I have some tips for you seedlings:

     1. Work together!  Stick with your teammates, you will find success and strength in numbers.

     2. Try each character!  If you are playing with a new character, try to complete the initial challenges quickly to get access to all of their abilities.

     3. Play to your character’s strengths!  Each character can hold their own in battle, but playing your role effectively will lead to victory and the biggest rewards.

Before I finish this up, I want to take a moment to thank PopCap, EA, our friends and families for their support throughout the project.  I especially want to thank the PvZ Garden Warfare team for all of their passion, creativity and countless hours of hard work in making Garden Warfare a reality.

Thanks for reading, we’ll see you around the neighborhood!

It would have been nice to know it was a single player game for XBOX 360 before we purchased the game. Now the game is worthless to the two people in the house that wanted to play the game together. We were willing to overlook the fact that another gaming company has not been thoughtful enough to think a family of four May want to play a game together, but to not even allow two players on one console, no matter which console.

why do i need to create a brand new origin account to access this game?!?! i have not done so yet and am unable to play at this point. It doesnt make much sense to have more than one origin account does it?

I am highly disappointed that it was NEVER mentioned that this game would not be co-op split screen for Xbox 360. My wife and I had been waiting to play this game ever since we went to the Gamestop Expo, and now, it's just a worthless game that we bought. Thanks.... I really hope you make a patch for this to correct the fact that just because people are poor and cannot afford an Xbox One they can't play this game together on the same system. I hope your happy.
