"And on a side note, the game take about 10-13 hours to play though with one character, but since it's far more fun to play through it with all three characters in turn, it'll take more like 20-25 hours to beat the game with all three characters. Not bad for an action game."
"IGNPS2: How complicated does the combo system get? There are dozens of combo moves that the player can unlock and purchase. These range from simple one-button killing moves to complex four button sequences -- which if unleashed at the right moment can be gloriously devastating to your enemies. Skillful players will be able to quickly execute any number of different combos at the right moment, fluidly dispatching enemies in raging battles as Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli did in the films."
"Judging from what we've played so far, The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers is shaping up really well. The polished graphics and action-oriented gameplay do a good job of capturing the appeal of the films. The selection of extras in the game is solid and should be of special interest to fans eager for a peek at the upcoming The Two Towers, as the game will ship before the film opens."
"Atmosphere makes for a great gaming experience, and our levels would not be complete without it. Since our goal was to create a true sense of immersion, we worked closely with the engineering team to develop tools that allowed us artists to create atmosphere in its many forms."
"One of my favorite parts of this level involved the creation of what came to be known as "the meat pit." I was approached by our senior producers and asked if there was something I could think of to "spice up" the orc camp in the middle of the level. I immediately suggested that we could add a pit to that area that has some unseen creature at the bottom."
"(DC): What are the challenges of working with the movie license versus the literary license? Working on the film a lot of the visual imagery has been defined and I don't want to reinvent it. I think that people, for the foreseeable future, will have a very distinct image in their head of what an Uruk Hai looks like, or who Frodo is, or how Aragorn moves."
