One Chat Leads to Another
Have you ever wondered what a Sim would say if it could talk? Well, in The Sims Online you can hold regular conversations with the other Sims you meet. You will be able to type what you want to say and it will appear above your head in a speech bubble. You can use Chat to make friends, communicate on the job, or throw a party on your way to becoming the most popular Sim in your city. Instead of calling your friends on the phone, like you do in real life, you can have spontaneous text conversations with your friends in The Sims Online.
Chat is one of the cooler features of an online game. It's the key feature to communicating live with other players. The Sims Online makes this happen through the use of a full-featured chat system. You can chat quietly with your roommates at the dinner table or SHOUT at them from another room. You can emote, which is another form of chatting that allows you to customize an action. For example: You can type "/emote blushes" and in a speech bubble above your head it will say "George blushes"). You and your roommates can create your own clubs and hold group meetings over Chat. When it's time for a garage sale, you can use Chat to sell your goods or flirt with shoppers. And if your friends start getting on your nerves, you can always enable the Ignore feature for a little peace and quiet.
So whether you want to become the richest Sim or the most popular Sim, the Chat feature will help you along the way.
