The first adventure pack to The Sims Medieval begins when the pirates and the nobles arrive in the kingdom. The story unfolds with sword fights, love affairs, grand adventures and mysteries. Players can choose to be anyone from a King or Queen to a Knight or Blacksmith, and with that, prepare for adventure accordingly. Treasure hunting is an exciting new game play option that equips players with maps, shovels, rare treasures and surprising dangers, while challenging players to find hidden objects and search for desirable rewards that will benefit their Hero Sims.

they need to do allot of fixing on medieval before they start putting out other packs for it. why make more things till you fix what is not working right. it seems all you care about is selling expansion packs more than fixing what the people want fixed. it is a shame they think of money more than the people who by the games. perfect the game then do the expansions. you will get a larger fan base if you do and a more loyal one too.

I just downloaded a new copy as I changed computers and the fixes that were needed after release (and patched) are already included. I play this game a great deal and I am not sure what you think is broken but you should remember 2 things when it comes to Sim releases and "fixes": Just because you don't like how they did a certain things is the game does not mean its broken and for the most part they don't 'fix' things that are working the way they decided to design it even if after the fact you don't agree with their choices, This is one reason why so many people enjoy so many people that can program the Sims 3 to do things other then the way they are designed. However, given that Medieval is quite different in game play as other things then the other sims games changing the game play for one thing you don't like would actually impact so much of the games it would ruin it. The second thing is, when you know how EA works on the sims game, you won't see a patch here or a patch there, or little game fix it patches released between the base game and the next expansion and from the expansion to future expansions because the fixes are all rolled into one and are released at the time the next expansion is release. Then you get a patch for both those who did not buy the new expansion and for those that did that is when they have a big roll out of fixes and any game play additions that are not just changes for the new expansion. You won't see patches to fix things in between release unless there is a really big game play stopper. The game play stopper fix was done a few days after the release of the base game and we should expect the next patch - if there are things that need to be fixed that are not just how they designed the game - when the expansion releases on Aug 30.

Cool, but why, in the name of God, did you stick an 18th century pirate into the middle of a game you went to great lengths to market as medieval? That's sort of like having a division of musket bearing redcoats invading Camelot. Ummm, what's up with that?

pardon me for saying so,but the earliest documented instances of piracy are the exploits of the Sea Peoples who threatened the Aegean and Mediterranean in the 13th century BC.---wikipedia.It's way before Middle ages, right?

I don't think thedragonsegg was complaining that it was a pirate expansion but rather that the style is too futuristic for the game's time period. They should have stuck with a 13th century barbary pirate or viking for example.

Looks awesome! New torture tools... XD There should be one where you can go to ancient China or Japan too, and I think you should be allowed to choose if you want your kid to grow up, plus ghosts!

Will it have end game content: an ultimate goal to play for? Or will it take you to a new "ambition" where you just do the same thing again?

First of all the original medieval needs a lot of tweeking, that needs to be fixed, the quest should be different; not the same thing over and over; very boring!!!; we should be allowed to select children and wives or husband in order to make changes etc. horses are needed. Over all it is nice game I do enjoy it and your developing team should pay more attetion to what the consumers want because these game are not cheap.

I agree with the statement that petamc made.. the only thing I had with the game was that when I married or even had kids I couldn't control them that sucked and the same quest over and over that was crazy and messed up... I think that sims3 is a great game love it but wish sometimes they would listen to us.. you know the people who buy the game.

Why is it that all the sims on the advertisement for the medieval games have makeup but the game itself doesn't allow it. I am so tired of red eyed ugly sims. I will not pay any more for an expansion for a game that isn't going anywhere. I have played a lot of hours of medieval and I am starting to get bored with it. The quests are too easy and there doesn't seem to be any point in equipping your sims with the best armor and swords. I think its time to quit and start a real role playing game--The Witcher 2.

Its probably because people back then didn't have makeup....and they had a different view of "pritty" back then. And something tells me you dont play alot of SIMS games because the essence of sims is a RPing game or simulation game.... >.>

Horses for Medieval. There are no knights in SIMS 3. There are knights with NO HORSES in SIMS Medieval.

Yes i agree horses are needed first. For now i used the cheat in my game and i teleport everywhere. You have to manual put in in your game first. http://www.cheatcc.com/pc/simsmedievalcheatscodes.html#.Th5a7WHneSo

I agree with everyone. I'm a seasoned Sims player and I too am disappointed. Another thing that'd be cool? A time travel spell for the wizard! The wizard casts the spell and a portal opens. A Sims 3 dialog comes up asking you to choose a town, a household, and a sim to import from the game. Then the sim selected falls out the portal in medieval clothing and the wizard welcomes him to the kingdom.

I love this game but you need and i really mean this you have to fix this one before you started the new one. the quest seems to be the same and the castle is the same. Also it will stop running and i would have to start all over.

I thank it would be better that made it whir you can customize more and kind of like playing of the Sims3 just not modern , and could add some slider like the sims3 ,and make the screen move better and more sim3 editing, and make a Sims medieval create a world tool , and more place to choose from.and make it where you actually fight dragons instead of reading abut it. or they could make ancient Greece or make a sims3 than could back in time where your sim has a mission to escape this place.

yea jousting would be a good add on carier because then horses could come in and make it a skill of horse rideing and strength not to mention maby accuracy and it could be another job for them but if it were to be realistic back then you had to be royalty to be allowed to joust and then you would need more kingdoms so they could come in too.

I think it looks awsome but i dont understand why the sims medieval reverts back to the original sims game with children only growing up to a child why not teens and young adults. I also think that ninjas would be soooo cool on this game and vampires if your going for ancient themes why not Dracula just an idea.

Perhaps not... cause the game is called The Sims Medieval and Dracula was published in 1897... Yes, both eras could be called "Ancient" but... between these two periods there are almost 900 years. The Sims Gothic would be a perfect game for the Count, though :) --- Victorian Sims, Vampires, Werewolves, Jack the Ripper and Dr. Frankie would be a good place to start.
