EA SPORTS ambassador and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart moves up 671 places in 'Joe Hart's EA SPORTS Player Performance Index League' having collected a total of 262 Fantasy Premier League points in January which means he ends the month in 858th place.
EA SPORTS, who are the Official Sports Technology Partner of The Premier League, have set up a Fantasy Premier League Mini League to give football fans the change to pit their wits against England’s No1 goalkeeper. As part of this partnership The EA SPORTS Player Performance Index has an effect on your Fantasy Premier League team. In Fantasy League, the three best performing players in each match according to the EA SPORTS PPI receive additional bonus points. 3 points will be awarded to the highest scoring player, 2 to the second best and 1 to the third.
Arsenal midfielder Theo Walcott was arguably Joe's star performer within the Fantasy Premier League during January. The winger was drafted into the team as captain by Joe for game weeks 22, 23 & 24 and the decision certainly paid off with Walcott picking up a massive 54 Fantasy Premier League points including 4 points provided by The EA SPORTS PPI Bonus Points system.
Joe was happy with his rise up the table in January and is confident of pushing further on up the league during the next few game weeks.
“With me falling down a few positions in the league after December’s round of fixtures it was important to have a solid January and I feel I have done that”, he said. “I’ve been keeping a close eye on the January transfer window activity and I’m sure there will be lots of changes to peoples Fantasy Premier League teams as a result which will no doubt make it an interesting end to the season”.
Joe’s performances between the sticks continues to see him as the highest ranked goalkeeper in The EA SPORTS Player Performance Index where he is currently positioned in 25th place overall. Interestingly The EA SPORTS Player Performance Index tells us that Joe has had to make a total of 69 saves in his 24 Barclays Premier League appearances so far this season.
A total of 15 keepers from other Barclays Premier League teams have had to make more saves than Joe this season with Aston Villa’s Bradley Guzan top of that list having made 136 saves. The EA SPORTS Player Performance Index uses a comprehensive range of statistics to provide objective analysis about which players are the best and why.
Don’t forget you can keep up to speed with how Joe and the rest of the Barclays Premier League players are performing this season by visiting The EA SPORTS Player Performance Index.
Each month EA SPORTS will randomly select Fantasy Premier League players who successfully finish higher than Joe Hart in ‘Joe Hart's EA SPORTS Player
