Watching developers present a game for the first time is indeed an unforgettable experience. After all, it was their baby, their pet project.
In order to find out how gamescom feels like for the developers, I interviewed James Slavin, Audio Director at DICE in Stockholm, right after the Behind Closed Doors presentation of Mirror's Edge.
"There're so many people here who simply love games and stand in line for hours just for a chance to try them out. What I especially like is the honesty from the people here. We're still in the pre-alpha stage and have received very helpful criticism — great feedback that we'll be incorporating into the further development of the game."
