Congratulations Lianne Lardizabal - Named to 2019 Canada’s Developer 30 Under 30!

The next generation of Canadian developers has arrived, and Software Engineer Lianne Lardizabal from our Vancouver studio is being recognized in the third annual Developer 30 under 30 list.

Lianne Lardizabal was selected as a 2019 Canada’s Developer 30 Under 30 Winner. “The Developer 30 Under 30 award was spearheaded with the sole intention of shining a light on the coders, the architects, and the masterminds that are responsible for the industry’s technical revolutions,” said Sep Seyedi, CEO of Plastic Mobile. Winners of the award are chosen by a large selection committee of 30+ judges, who are some of Canada’s leading technical experts, rating candidates based on specific criteria. This award selects the Top 30 under 30 software developers of all disciplines from across Canada.

“It is an honor to receive this award and recognition. I am so grateful to work on what I love and already make a positive impact on communities through technology, while still early in my career. This work is only the beginning and I can’t wait to make a bigger impact in the future.” - Lianne Lardizabal

Lianne is a Software Engineer at Electronic Arts. She worked on top AAA video game titles FIFA 18 and the most recent FIFA 19, which was ranked the best-selling video game in Europe for 2018. She works on the Development & Release Engineering group that supports the ‘FIFA Ultimate Team’ game mode. On top of her work responsibilities, Lianne also volunteers as a mentor at workshops with 200+ attendees that introduces young girls to STEM careers, along with groups such as Girls Learning Code and EA Women’s Ultimate Team employee resources group.

“I hope to inspire careers in software development and gaming for the future generation of female technologists. For me, playing video games at a young age sparked my initial interest in problem-solving through technology, leading me to study computer science in university and to work as a software engineer. It is so rewarding to do work that I am passionate about and develop products that affect people on a global-scale,” says Lianne.
