All You Need to Know About the FUT Champions Cup January

The third FIFA 19 Global Series major, the FUT Champions Cup January, is set to kick off in Bucharest from January 25 to 27. The event will gather 64 of the top FUT Champions Verified players in the world as the search for the newest FUT Champions Cup champion begins.

Why Should I Watch?

You will have the opportunity to watch some of the best FIFA 19 players in the planet. After becoming FUT Champions Verified by reaching 27 or more wins in the Weekend League, these group of elite players battled each other in a online qualifier tournament to earn a seat in this tournament.

To be the best, they have to beat the best and that is what these FIFA pros are set to do in Bucharest. Competitors will be eyeing the 1,500 Global Series Points to be awarded to the winner on each console which will help them climb the FIFA 19 Global Series Rankings. Additionally, player will be competing for a piece of the $200,000 prize pool, including a $50,000 top prize.

Will a new champion rise?

Since the creation of the FUT Champions Cup back in the FIFA 18 Global Series there have been 4 of these tournaments: Barcelona and Manchester during last competitive season and the November and December Cups this year. However, only 2 pros have lifted the FUT Champions Cup trophy, F2Teekz and MSDossary. Each of the pros have traded wins with MsDossary winning more recently in London last month. Will this be the tournament where we see a new FUT Champions Cup champion rise?
