Our 2026 Cover Athlete Has Arrived!

We couldn’t be more excited to finally reveal our cover athlete for the upcoming Madden NFL 26 Mobile season is none other than Saquon Barkley!

Barkley burst onto the NFL scene as the second overall pick in 2018, immediately showcasing his dynamic ability with a dominant rookie season that earned him Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and a Pro Bowl selection. 

Despite navigating injury challenges in subsequent years, Barkley consistently demonstrated his elite talent as a dual-threat running back, capable of breaking off long runs and making impactful plays in the passing game. 

A truly historic 2024 season saw him set numerous franchise records with the Philadelphia Eagles, including surpassing 2,000 rushing yards and leading the NFL in rushing, ultimately culminating in a Super Bowl LIX victory and being named the AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year. 

A Storied Journey

Saquon Barkley’s career has been defined by his explosive playmaking, remarkable versatility, and unwavering determination, and we’re honored to have him as our cover athlete for this season.

Retrace his NFL Journey in a new 21 node Journey Map, with 6 nodes at launch, and 5 more dropping every week for 3 weeks! You’ll conquer challenges that draw direct inspiration from pivotal moments across Saquon Barkley’s career, and receive great rewards along the way!

In this 20 node Journey map, you’ll immediately have access to the first 5 nodes on the 1st week, and then we’ll open another 5 nodes every week after that for 3 weeks. 

Don’t worry if you come in late, though! You’ll start your progress on Week 1 no matter what, so you’ll start hitting those initial achievements first, and then you’ll be able to clear the backlog and catch up to where the in-game progress is currently. 

Getting to the end of Saquon’s journey and completing all 20 nodes will earn you a special Madden Mobile 25 Badge! This MM25 Badge carries over to the 2026 season, and will be used to upgrade the Saquon Barkley Cover Athlete card to a unique cosmetic version of the card when the new season launches in August!

Play It Forward!

With the hype and anticipation for the 2026 season heating up faster than you can say “field goal,” we’re introducing an awesome new mechanic called Play It Forward that will help you get a leg up on the competition, and help you prepare for the avalanche of awesome to come in Madden NFL 26 Mobile.

We're introducing a new dedicated Play It Forward map that’s divided into three distinct areas where you can compete Daily, Weekly, and One-Time challenges, in order to earn amazing rewards, including those that will carry over into the new season!

Starting June 3rd and running until the end of the Madden NFL 25 Mobile season, users can embark on a variety of new challenges to not only earn great rewards for MM25, but to set yourself up with a nice nest egg for the upcoming MM26 season.

You’ll be able to earn special currency from these challenges that will enable you to get awesome rewards from a unique shop that will carry over into Madden NFL 26 Mobile!

• Daily Engagement: Log in every day to conquer a challenge on the Play It Forward Journey, play a single node that unlocks daily and earn special Play It Forward currency. 
  • You’ll also be able to watch one Video Ad per 24 hour period, in order to grab a sweet Ad Bonus! These will reset every day at 10:30AM ET.
• Weekly Activities: Conquer bigger achievements that reset weekly, such as throwing for a certain number of yards, or rushing for a specific number of yards. These achievements can be completed in various game modes, including the Play It Forward Journey, rewarding users with the new currency.
• One-Time Achievements: Throughout the Journey there will also be a selection of milestone achievements that can be only completed once to earn Play It Forward currency.

While we know that’s a lot to take in at once, and we’re gonna give you a minute to catch your breath here, we’re not done by a long shot!

We’re unbelievably excited to be able to be gearing up for the upcoming Madden NFL 26 Mobile season, and we still have some amazing events and other surprises yet to come for the Offseason!
