Split Fiction is out now on Nintendo Switch 2!

The wait is over – one of the highest rated games of 2025, Hazelight's critically acclaimed co-op adventure, Split Fiction, is now available on Nintendo’s newest system, the Nintendo Switch™ 2 for $49.99.

New Nintendo Switch 2 Features and Playing on the Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game offers players the exact same gameplay and story but also takes advantage of the system’s unique social features: GameShare and GameChat!

GameShare will enable Nintendo Switch 2 owners to invite another player to play together over a local wireless connection using just one copy of the game. This "other player" can be not only a Nintendo Switch 2 owner, but a Nintendo Switch owner as well. Please note that the Nintendo Switch is only able to play the game using GameShare with a Nintendo Switch 2 player.

GameChat will allow players to easily communicate and collaborate with one another when playing online by using the system’s built-in microphone. Nintendo Switch 2 owners who connect the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera or USB camera to their system will be able to also share their live video as part of the GameChat feature.

Friend’s Pass* and Crossplay support

Like the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S versions of Split Fiction that launched this past March, Nintendo Switch 2 players can also use the Friend’s Pass to play online with a friend even if that friend doesn’t own a copy of the game. 

Split Fiction can also be played cross platform, meaning players will be able to play together regardless of their system. This requires an EA Account, but players can sign up for a free EA account here. Learn more about the Friend’s Pass and Crossplay in this blog.
