2. Juli 2026

BREAKDOWN

International Fight Week is almost here, and UFC 6 is stepping into the Octagon with a new patch update packed with roster additions, gameplay fixes, Fighter Updates, Fight Week rewards, and more.

The UFC 6 IFW 2026 Patch Update goes live on July 2, 2026.

Check out all the details below:

NEW FIGHTERS ENTER THE OCTAGON

Three new rostered fighters are joining UFC 6 in this update, bringing fresh matchups, new styles, and more ways to compete.

INCLUDED WITH THE UFC 6 FIGHTER PASS

TANK ABBOTT

In-game rendering of UFC fighter Tank Abbott with some of his fighter statistics.

9 First Round Finishes

Division: Heavyweight

Bio: If you’ve been around the Octagon long enough, Tank Abbott needs no introduction. A legend of the early UFC era, Tank brings brute force, bad intentions, and old-school knockout chaos to UFC 6. With sledgehammers for hands, a fearless brawling style, and a presence as powerful as his nickname, Tank rolls through his opponents and turns every exchange into a firefight for their survival.

UFC 6 Keys to Victory: Tank Abbott is at his best when he turns the fight into a close-range brawl. His biggest advantage is his ability to end exchanges with one clean punch, so players should look to pressure forward, cut off space, and force opponents into the pocket. Tank can tank damage and keep moving forward, making him dangerous in chaotic stand-up moments where both fighters are trading heavy shots.

On the ground, Tank remains a serious threat with punishing ground-and-pound. Look to capitalize after knockdowns, stay heavy on top, and finish the fight with brutal follow-up strikes.

In short, walk opponents down, force the pocket exchange, trust Tank’s toughness, and punish every opening with fight-ending power.

FREE UPDATE

UROŠ MEDIĆ

In-game rendering of UFC fighter Uros Medic with some of his fighter statistics.

Pro MMA Record: 13-3-0 | 10 First Round Finishes

Division / UFC Ranking: Welterweight, #14

Bio: The Doctor is in! Uroš Medić enters UFC 6 with surgical striking, sharp finishing instincts, and the kind of dynamic offense that can change a fight in an instant. With a fast-paced and pressure-heavy stand-up game, Medić is a perfect addition for players who like to bring the fight to their opponents and hunt for highlight-reel finishes.

UFC 6 Keys to Victory: Uroš Medić is at his best when he’s attacking with speed, precision, and serious finishing intent. His hands are fast and dangerous, making him a major threat in quick pocket exchanges where he can beat opponents to the punch and land clean before they can respond. Players should look to pressure intelligently, mix in sharp combinations, and use his striking speed to create openings for heavy damage.

His kicking game adds another dangerous layer. Use powerful kicks to manage distance, punish forward movement, and force opponents to respect attacks from range. When the opportunity opens up, Medić can turn a clean connection into a fight-changing moment. So, strike first, stay sharp in boxing exchanges, mix punches with powerful kicks, and overwhelm opponents with fast, explosive offense.

KEVIN VALLEJOS

In-game rendering of UFC fighter Kevin Vallejos with some of his fighter statistics.

Pro MMA Record: 17-1-0 | 9 First Round Finishes

Division / UFC Ranking: Featherweight, #9

Bio: WE did it! Kevin Vallejos joins the roster as an exciting new prospect with speed, creativity, and a rising-star mentality. His well-rounded skill set and aggressive approach make him a fresh option for players looking to bring energy, movement, and momentum into every round.

UFC 6 Keys to Victory: Kevin Vallejos brings dangerous finishing power, fast hands, and the movement to control where exchanges happen. He is at his best when he stays light on his feet, cuts sharp angles, and uses quick entries to land clean before opponents can settle into their rhythm. His punching threat makes every exchange risky, especially when he can step in, fire combinations, and exit before taking damage back.

Players should use his fast footwork to stay unpredictable, create openings, and force opponents to chase. Once they overcommit, Vallejos can punish with fast, explosive counters and heavy shots that can quickly shift the momentum of the fight. **

TLDR: Stay mobile, control the distance, strike fast, punish mistakes, and use explosive boxing to turn clean openings into fight-changing damage.

GAMEPLAY IMPROVEMENTS

EA Sports UFC 6 patch notes title over a close-up of a chain-link fence with dramatic lighting and orange highlights.

This update includes several gameplay improvements and fixes across grappling, striking, Perks, Flow State, and Fighter Updates.

GRAPPLING

The following grappling updates have been implemented:

  • Fixed an issue that allowed Takedown Bails to be performed without a stamina advantage.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Pull Guard Takedown to become undeniable when fighters had a strong setup.
  • Fixed an animation issue when performing a Cage Single Leg from an open stance.
  • Fixed an animation issue after getting up from the Back Side Position.
  • Fixed a rare animation issue when striking from the Single Under clinch position.
  • Fixed an animation issue when fighters were struck while attempting the Over Under clinch entry from open stance.

PERKS AND FLOW STATE BALANCE UPDATE

We’ve refined the Base Effects of several Perks so they no longer work by buffing attributes. Instead, these effects now apply buffs directly.

Previously, when Perk Base Effects worked by buffing attributes, they could become partly or completely ineffective in cases where they would push an attribute above 100. With this fix, Base Effects will now always be useful, even when a fighter already has max attributes.

The Training Manual now also features the specific values of the bonuses granted by Base Effects.

UPDATED PERKS

  • Stinger
  • Tiger
  • Reaper
  • Lancer
  • Spindrift
  • Bonesaw
  • Point Down
  • Tank
  • Bulwark
  • Kraken
  • Electric Eel
  • Anvil
  • Quicksand
  • Checkmate
  • Escapist
  • Last Stand
  • Revenant
  • Groundskeeper
  • Hot-Blooded
  • Perpetual

Additional Perks and Flow State updates include:

  • Fixed an issue with the Bulwark Flow State where it would instantly fill the Block Meter according to the HUD, but not truly fill it in gameplay. The benefit now applies correctly to both the HUD and gameplay.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Hunter Flow State bonus condition to be too strict. Previously, the opponent’s back had to be in strict contact with the cage. Now, they only need to be near the cage, matching the condition for triggering the Hunter Flow Boost.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Grizzly Flow State bonus from applying to some instances of stamina consumption in takedowns and clinch.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Groundskeeper Flow State bonus from applying to some instances of stamina consumption in the ground game.

STRIKING

This update also includes improvements to striking interactions and responsiveness:

  • Fixed rare instances of ghost hits against fighters using head movement or blocking. These were strikes that did not connect physically but still affected the opponent.
  • Fixed an issue that caused frontal strikes to sometimes track opponents performing side lunges, even when the lunges were timed properly.
  • Improved responsiveness for both fighters after leg kicks land. Previously, there was an awkward pause before either fighter could act, even though the animations seemed to allow them to act sooner. Now, both fighters can act sooner, more in line with the animations. The frame advantage remains the same. This improvement affects all types of leg kicks.
  • Fixed a rare animation issue that caused some uppercuts to wrap around the striker’s back.
