Today is the day! It's finally time for your Sims to clean those dirty clothes with The Sims™ 4 Laundry Day Stuff available now!
Now that you've cleared some space in your home for your new Washer and Dryer, or made space in your yard for the new wash bin and clothing line, you are probably wondering how to use these new objects. To start creating those dirty clothes add any of the new laundry game play items into your home. Placing a hamper anywhere on your home lot will cause dirty clothes from any member of the household be automatically collected until it gets full. When your hamper becomes full, or have no hamper at all, your dirty clothes will create a pile of clothing on the ground near your Sim. Sims who have the Slob trait will also generate piles of clothing on the ground instead of having the clothing automatically go to the hamper.
No matter how you choose to clean your clothes, washing machine or washtub, you can include additives in your laundry load to cause some additional effects. Enhancing your clothing with a fresh scent is as simple as gathering blooming flowers from your garden, and adding their petals to the wash prior to loading your laundry. This flowery scent will give a positive effect to your Sims when they put on their fresh clean clothes. Alternatively, do you have a Sim that is agitated with their roommate? Have them add food to the washing machine or washtub, and they can enjoy seeing the negative moodlet their Sim roommate gets when putting on their “clean” clothes.
For Sims who are a bit more mischievous, they can add extra soap to the washing machine to cause a bit of havoc for others in your home. Whether you decide to add something positive, negative, or a little playful to your laundry, you can always make doing the laundry a good time.
