• The Sims FreePlay Patch Notes | Summer Vacation: Back To Reality All the fixes and improvements you can expect in U109

    Sul Sul Simmers!

Next week, we are releasing a new update for The Sims FreePlay, including a Stability Fix.

Over the past few updates, we’ve noticed an increase in reports of longer load times, frame rate drops, and crashes when visiting Another SimTown. After investigating, we found that a small number of players were affected by a glitch that duplicated Sims on a single lot. With a much higher-than-normal number of Sims performing actions at once, performance was impacted for the town host and anyone visiting.

This glitch was unintentional, and we’ve appreciated your patience as we’ve worked on a fix. Ensuring The Sims FreePlay’s gameplay stability is our top priority, and resolving this issue will help improve performance when visiting other players' SimTowns. We understand how much care goes into building your SimTowns, and we never take changes like this lightly.

This fix will bring the Sim count in affected households back to the intended cap. For affected households, after updating and restarting your game, the most recently created Sims over the cap will automatically be removed. If you have exceeded the Sim count, you can choose which Sims stay by adjusting your Sim count ahead of the update. The quickest way is to use the “Move Out of Town” option next to the currently active Sim’s name rather than aging them up.

We know how important your Sims are to your stories and creativity, and how much stable gameplay matters every time you play. This fix is part of our ongoing work to support a smoother, balanced, and more enjoyable player experience.

We’ll continue exploring new features, including ones that give you more flexibility to manage larger households while keeping the game running smoothly.

If you believe a Sim was removed accidentally, our FanCare team is here and happy to help.

Thank you for being part of the Sims FreePlay community. We’re excited about what's ahead and grateful to share the journey with you as your SimTowns continue to grow.

We’ve also made a host of additional fixes, big and small, to improve your experience playing the game. You can find them all listed below!
