EA and Real Racing 3 Team Up With Formula E

Game Update: The Daytona 500 2017

Real Racing is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Formula E

Starting at the Inaugural 2017 Qualcomm New York City ePrix, Real Racing 3 will be used across Formula E simulator rigs within the eVillage fan zone at all future Formula E races worldwide. Firemonkeys have specifically developed builds of Real Racing 3 that are compatible with these rigs, and will be the host platform for each event's 6-lap eRace, which pits members of the public against current Formula E drivers.

For this momentous occasion, We are sending the Real Racing Pro Team to New York City to compete against the Formula E professional drivers. Each member of the Pro Team is a developer on Real Racing 3, has extensive simulator experience, and will be ready at the Allianz eVillage Fan Zone to put up a fight! These eRaces will be livestreamed directly in-game from the event on July 15 and 16, 2017 on Real Racing TV. Starting July 10, players will also receive exclusive detailed behind the scenes access, and information about the event in New York City.

The Qualcomm New York City ePrix is a huge global event because it is the first FIA-sanctioned open-wheel race to take place in any of the five boroughs of New York City in modern history. The 1.21-mile circuit, which features 10 turns, winding along the waterfront neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, will feature stunning views of the iconic Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. Watch below for a virtual look at the Brooklyn Port Circuit.

New York also marks the first time ever that professional sports stars, Formula E drivers, take on fans while broadcast live through Real Racing TV. This will be the first competitive racing eSports to be broadcast on a mobile platform, and racers anywhere will be able to tune-in to watch competitive eRacing from their mobile devices!

This is an unprecedented relationship between FIA Formula E Championship and a mobile racing title, and something brand new for the Real Racing franchise. The world will be watching this weekend's historic event, and Real Racing players are going to have exclusive behind-the-scenes access to it!
