EA Play Now Available to Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate Members

Electronic Arts is excited about the next milestone in our ongoing commitment to give players more choice on how to access the games and in-game benefits they love. Since November, EA Play* has been available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members on console and starting today, Xbox Game Pass PC and Ultimate members can also get more from their favorite EA games. Through the EA app, our next-generation PC platform that’s currently in open beta, and the Xbox app for Windows 10, members will receive access to EA Play and get exclusive in-game challenges and rewards, a collection of outstanding games in The Play List, 10% savings on purchases of EA digital content, and trial access to full versions of select new releases.

To get started, Xbox Game Pass members can visit the Xbox app on Windows 10 to guide them through set up and to discover a rich library of games. To experience the benefits of EA Play, they will be redirected to the EA app, EA’s new PC platform designed from the ground up to be smarter, faster, more connected than ever before and built with player feedback in mind.

Our players asked for quicker, simpler ways to get into their games, so we built easy Quick Access and Play Now features, seamless client updates and game patching, and a simplified login and registration system. They wanted a cleaner, more streamlined design, so we created a sleek interface built around a simplified home screen that features highlighted recommendations to help them find what to play next, help them get more from their games and to know what their friends are up to.

They also asked for powerful, easy-to-understand tools to help them manage how they and their family members play. With the EA app’s collection of Positive Play features, it’s simple to track time spent gaming and to set playtime limits. Through their EA account, players also have tools that let them customize their own purchase limits and how much money they spend. These features are available for teen accounts as well, with zero-default spend limits for purchases and the ability for parents and guardians to set monthly spend limits. They can also keep tabs on their teen’s daily play schedules by customizing time limits to monitor their playtime from a single dashboard.

The EA app is brand new and still in beta, and we’ll need help from the community as we work to make it smarter, faster, and easier to use. We’re listening closely to feedback, so have a look at our EA app roadmap to share thoughts, track what’s new, and see what’s next. And for all our friends joining us from Xbox Game Pass, enjoy the benefits of EA Play, explore The Play List, and let us know what we can do to make the app an amazing experience.
