Antonio Di Natale ended his career in incredible fashion, scoring a hat-trick in Udinese’s 3:3 draw with Sampdoria on Saturday. Di Natale announced his retirement from the game last January; he spent the last decade playing in Udine and will be remembered as one of the best goal-scorers in Italy.
Midfielder Dries Mertens scored twice for Napoli as they comfortably defeated Hellas Verona 5:1 on Sunday. The 27 year-old Belgium International finished his first season in Naples with 11 goals and five assists.
On Saturday, Loïc Perrin had two goals for AS Saint-Etienne as they defeated AC Ajaccio 3:1. The 28 year-old defender finished the season with six goals and one assist.
Meanwhile, Toulouse’s Wissam Ben Yedder earned a hat-trick as they defeated Valenciennes 3:1. Ben Yedder played in every match this season and finished with 16 goals and five assists.
