Ahead of GRID™ Legends launching on February 25 for PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Origin, we were delighted to invite media and content creators to a very special preview event for our spectacular racer. As well as a detailed game overview from the studio, invitees had the chance to play an early build of GRID Legends, featuring 12 curated race events.

From early-December, writers and creators have been sharing their early thoughts following the event, alongside some eye-catching new gameplay and key game info. Below, we’ve compiled the best of it all!

Early GRID Legends Video Previews

Content creators from across the globe put the work-in-progress version of GRID Legends through its paces, including SLAPTrain, who headed straight for the Drift event! He was impressed by the physics and flow required to nail those chain drifts, and the smoke effects. BlackPanthaa, meanwhile, is already a big fan of the variety on offer, and how rewarding it feels to jump straight in and get racing.

More variety was on display in GameRiot’s preview, as he showed off events from London, Sydney and more, driving anything from Ginettas to stadium trucks! The team over at Godisageek showcased more events, including a rainy Brands Hatch race with top GT machines, and their first impressions were clear: "Now I've played, I'm excited for February."

Whilst those two videos were created with controller gameplay, we also had plenty of guests using racing wheels – including MotoGamesTV, who took the game for a spin with the Thrustmaster TS-XW.

Finally, if you’re looking for the highest-quality footage possible, check out RajmanGamingHD’s channel for a stunning 4K run , driving the Porsche 911 GT1. AshVandelay also tried out GRID Legends on a wheel, particularly enjoying the frenetic Electric Boost racing.

Media Previews for GRID Legends

On top of creators and gameplay, we’ve seen a flurry of previews and articles from media. First up, Eurogamer delivered details on the upcoming Career mode, and how ‘Driven to Glory’ story mode doubles down on the drama and tension.

Over at Jalopnik, Adam Ismail commented on how impressed he was already with the 60fps performance of GRID Legends, and the breadth of racing that’ll be at your fingertips come February 25. The Traxion team had a sit-down interview with multiple members of the GRID Legends team to talk handling, story, vehicle upgrades, and cross-platform play. GameSpot has also reported on the direction and live-action cutscenes after chatting with our team.

For our German friends, the Red Bull team has been getting into the Drift runs, Touring events, and more. For Spanish fans, SomosXbox's preview praises the variety, freedom, and story mode potential, whilst  in the Netherlands, the first impressions of GRID Legends from Playsense has been very positive, too.

Look out for plenty more insight, gameplay, and reveals for GRID Legends as we build towards launch day on February 25, 2022. Follow @gridgame on Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date!
