The Sims 4 Is Now Available On Console!

Today is the day! The Sims™ 4 has officially released on Xbox One and PlayStation® 4 and we couldn't be more excited for our console community to get their hands on the game. 

For the first time, console players will get to play the truest The Sims experience ever on a console platform. To help get the creative juices flowing we wanted to share two of our favorite challenges created by the very players in our amazing community.

The Legacy Challenge created by Pinstar

This is one of our favorite challenges as it focuses on playing through one bloodline that will feature many generations. To get started:

• Create a Sim of your choice, this will be your family Founder
• Once you've created your Sims, move them into one of the biggest lots of the world of our choice. We recommend NewCrest since its a nice black slate!
• They must start out in “poverty” (should have no more than 10,000 Simoleons in their wallets after purchase of the lot.)
• Spend time finding a significant other for this Sim, start a family, and play through at least 10 generations.

You can add some new twists for each of those generations to keep it fun and exciting but the main premise is to stick with the one family and follow them through generations.

This is by far one of my most favorite challenges to take on for The Sims. It is all about focusing on what we call “deviant play style”. To get started:

• Create a Young Adult Sim with the following traits: Materialistic, Snob, and Romantic. They should have the Serial Romantic as their aspiration.
• Move them into any house in the world. You are not allowed to use any money cheats so be mindful of your simoleons! You will want to make sure you create a room only you can enter in the basement, we will come back to this in a moment.
• Meet a Sim, woo them, and get married.
• Host a dinner party to show the world your amazing partner, and while you're at it start scoping the party out for your next victim.
• Have your new partner in sight? Good! Now cheat on your current partner with the new romantic interest by inviting them to your home and get caught cheating.
• Now here comes the dark side...you will want to find ways to kill off your current partner (Electrocution, Fire, Cowplant Sacrifice, the choice is yours!)
• Once good ol' Grimmy comes to your lot to take the soul of your deceased partner you will want to take their urn and place it in the basement. A Black Widow has to have a trophy room of their victims after all.
