Hace casi un siglo, las Tierras Salvajes estaban al borde de una crisis energética catastrófica. Encargaron a la Dra. Mary Somers, una encantadora y excéntrica astrofísica, que buscara una solución. Mary se llevó a su familia al centro de investigación científica de Olympus y empezó a trabajar.
Con la ayuda de su aprendiz, la Dra. Reid, Mary descubrió el Branthium, un elemento que estaba convencida de que podía ser la clave de una energía ilimitada.
