Supersonic Event

Break the sound barrier in the Supersonic Event! Chase adrenaline on an updated Olympus Wildcard map, feel the afterburn with a missile-launching Mythic R-99, and outrun your opponents with new speed-boosting Wild Cards. 

The Supersonic Event runs from November 18 to December 16.

WILDCARD: OLYMPUS

Reach peak performance on Olympus. The Wildcard version of Olympus is packed with extra map toys, like ziplines and gravity cannons. Take flight and win fights, Legends!

NEW MYTHIC R-99: BIRD OF PREY

Introducing the Bird of Prey: the new Mythic R-99. This lethal weapon is inspired by Valkyrie and master crafted in Rampart’s workshop.

In Wildcard, the Bird of Prey evolves into a missile-launching beast. Just hit your target repeatedly to activate its Missile Volley ability, which automatically fires missiles that track your target. It also boosts your walk, crouch, and sprint speed to keep you on the hunt. 

The Bird of Prey can be found through Rampart Care Package drops. Care Packages drop at the start of each round: they’ll contain one Bird of Prey and 2 random weapons, with higher rarity as the rounds progress.

EVENT WILD CARDS

We’ve also added a new set of Wild Cards to help you go faster and furiouser:

And some existing Wild Cards are staying in rotation: Mad Dash, Wall Runner, High Velocity, Crackerjack, Fast Draw, and Speedy Charge.

EVENT LOOT

We’re also making the following changes to the loot pool during the Supersonic Event:

• Alternator SMG: The Alternator hits Wildcard with the lethal addition of the “Double Tap” Hop Up and the return of Disruptor Rounds.
• Bocek Compound Bow: The Bocek is in rotation, but with an explosive twist. Explosive Bolts are now always active, no Frag Grenades required.
• Pulse Blade Throwing Knife: The Pulse Blade is back after a long hiatus. This knife detects nearby enemies with a brief sonar pulse when thrown, and an increased throwing speed means it moves even faster through the air.

EVENT ITEMS

Carve up your opponents with the new Death Duet Universal Melee, a set of dual katanas usable by all Legends.

Get Legendary Skins for Horizon, Crypto, Sparrow, Mirage, and Catalyst, plus matching weapons, available as possible drops in Supersonic Event Packs.

All items will be available in exchange for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals and in Supersonic Event Packs† for the duration of the event. Each Supersonic Event Pack contains one event item and two standard items, and there are no duplicates of event items in these packs.

REWARD SHOP

Earn Boost throughout the event to get items from the Reward Shop. Earn up to 1750 Boost per day by completing daily event challenges, then check out the Supersonic Event Reward Shop to redeem them for rewards, including 2 Supersonic Event Packs.

Explore the limited-time Supersonic Event Store and check out Legendary skins for Horizon, Crypto, Sparrow, Mirage, and Catalyst, available November 18 to December 16.

PATCH NOTES: RECENT UPDATES & FIXES

Here are some updates and fixes from our most recent patches:

• Crash fix: Fixed an issue causing crashes, in rare cases, related to timing of specific voice lines, tied to the new audio system

• Olympus on Control: Players are unable to capture point A - map temporarily removed
• Olympus in Ranked: Players are experiencing performance issues - map temporarily removed
• High CPU Usage: Some players are experiencing high (~20%-25%) CPU usage
