How to Complete the Frostfire Bonus Path

The Frostfire Bonus Path differs from standard Bonus Paths: all Frostfire Bonus Path Points are earned through Weekly Challenges.
As a reminder, the Frostfire Bonus Path can be completed concurrently alongside the Season 1 Battle Pass. In other words, you do not need to choose to make progress between a Season 1 Battle Pass Path - i.e. Rogue Operators, Soldiers Of Fortune - and the Frostfire Bonus Path.
Each Bonus Path Tier requires 10 Bonus Path Points to unlock, which means you need to earn 110 Bonus Path points to complete the Bonus Path. For each Weekly Challenge, the amount of Points earned - both Battle Pass Points and Bonus Path Points - varies by challenge.
For example, an easier Weekly Challenge - such as completing a handful of Multiplayer Matches - typically awards three Battle Pass Points and three Bonus Path Points, while the hardest Weekly Challenges - such as winning a handful of Multiplayer Matches - typically award seven Battle Pass Points and Bonus Path Points each. Medium difficulty challenges usually award five Battle Pass Points and Bonus Path Points. Bonus Weekly Challenges reward the most points - 35 - and are usually around medium difficulty, making them the most efficient way to earn points.
Not all Weekly Challenges reward Bonus Path Points; consult your in-game Challenges menu for more information. As a general rule, the designated weeks for a Bonus Path - for Frostfire, Weeks 14 and 15 - are the only Weekly Challenges that include Bonus Path Points in addition to Battle Pass Points.
A Note on Rerolls
Rerolls are designed to swap out challenges you may not want to complete with challenges that could better suit how you play Battlefield.
In addition to the Daily Challenge rerolls, which refresh every day at 12 p.m. UTC, (6 p.m. PST), (Tuesday, 6 p.m. PST), everyone receives a set number of 5 Weekly Challenge rerolls per week, resetting every week at around Wednesday 12 p.m. UTC, (Tuesday, 6 p.m. PST), or around the time when the next Weekly Challenges are released. These rerolls can be used either for the latest Weekly Challenge set OR for any previous Weekly Challenge.
Use these rerolls wisely as you progress through the Frostfire Bonus Path.
Piercing Trauma Weapon Package

The ultimate Frostfire Bonus Path reward is the “Far Sight” Soldier Skin. Outside of this completion bonus and six other rewards, there are four additional items to earn for those who own the Season 1 Battle Pass (or BF Pro, which contains the Season 1 Battle Pass).
The Tier 9 reward, unlocked with 90 Bonus Path Points, is the “Piercing Trauma” LMG Weapon Package. Based on the DRS IAR LMG platform, which is known in the community for its mid-to-long range power across all game modes, the “Piercing Trauma” is designed for those who gravitate towards grounded, mil-sim style weapons that have plenty of room for further customization.
Outside of the base sight, magazine, and ammunition attachments, the included Linear Compensator and a Heavy Barrel enhance accuracy at longer ranges with minimal mobility penalties. Think of this Weapon Package as a canvas for further customization, as there are plenty of attachment points open to slot in attachments earned through levelling up this versatile LMG.
Consider this Weapon Package - and the three other items in this Bonus Path - an additional reward for being a Battle Pass owner.
Quick Reload - What is a Weapon Package?
A Weapon Package is a custom-designed version of a base weapon that is pre-configured with themed attachments. Think of this as a specific “weapon loadout” for a weapon; instead of adjusting attachments on a weapon mid-match - e.g. adding accuracy-enhancing attachments to adapt to enemies attacking down range - you can instead switch from one Weapon Package (or the base weapon) to another Weapon Package that better suits your situation.
Typically, a base weapon will have two Weapon Packages for reaching a certain Hardware Level with that weapon, including a gilded Weapon Package at Hardware Level 50 (Mastery). Other Weapon Packages are unlocked via Challenges, the Battle Pass, Bonus Paths, by purchasing a Store Bundle, or as part of an event outside of the game.
Outside of having a unique weapon design, Weapon Packages are great for discovering new, effective ways to use a weapon through its pre-configured attachment set-up. You can always customize a Weapon Package from its base form, but it is hand-crafted to perform well in certain combat scenarios right out of the box.
Note: unlocked camos may be best used on the base version of a weapon, as a Weapon Package will prioritize its own cosmetic changes over a universal camouflage.
Five Tips for Frostfire Bonus Path Completion

All strategies for Frostfire Bonus Path Completion technically apply to completing Weekly Challenges. In other words, if you already broke your New Year’s Resolution, then consider these tips as your new good habits to maintain through future Battlefield 6 and REDSEC seasons.
- Learn Your Loadout. Struggling with a challenge that requires specific Hardware? Visit the Loadout menu and carefully read that Hardware’s description. For both Primary and Secondary Weapons, such as an LMG, visit the Firing Range (available in the Loadouts screen when selecting a weapon) to familiarize yourself with that specific weapon’s effective range and damage values. For Gadgets, such as an Unguided Rocket Launcher, watch the included in-game videos to see an example of how that Gadget can be best used in battle.
- Play Your Way, Use Your Rerolls. It’s use ‘em or lose ‘em; if you find a certain challenge too difficult or not fitting your playstyle, there is no shame in rerolling that challenge; five rerolls are available every week at Wednesday 12 p.m. UTC, (Tuesday, 6 p.m. PST). During Frostfire’s second week, consider rerolling any of the first week challenges that you may not have made much progress on, if you are comfortable with that Weekly Challenge set.
- Double, Triple, Quadruple Stack Challenges. Often, you can find a theme between challenges, making it easier to complete them all at the same time. For example, a Weekly Challenge set may include these challenges: get kills as Recon, earn score as Recon, earn Sniper Rifle Kills, and get headshot kills at a long distance. Try playing in a way that “stacks” all those challenge requirements, such as focusing on longshot headshots with a Sniper Rifle while using the Recon Class.
- Unlock and Complete the Bonus Challenge ASAP. The Bonus Weekly Challenge is only activated by completing seven Weekly Challenges in a limited amount of time. Bonus Weekly Challenges reward the most points and are usually around medium difficulty, making them the most efficient way to earn points. Prioritize completing easy challenges, stacking them with medium and hard challenges when possible, to unlock the Bonus Weekly Challenge as soon as you can.
- Basic Mathematics. Want the most efficient Frostfire Bonus Path completion plan? The minimum points needed for all rewards is 110; so long as you complete one Bonus Challenge, you can skip multiple Weekly Challenges. Consider this as you plan those rerolls during the Frostfire Bonus Path period, as it could lead to easier challenge stacking opportunities, either within active Bonus Path weeks or the full Season 1 Weekly Challenge set.
