The year is 2027. The world is on the edge of chaos. After a high-profile assassination shocks the world, major European countries have left NATO, while the US and its allies grapple with the fallout.

Put yourself in the boots of an elite US Marine Raiders unit in a series of thrilling warzone and combat scenarios, as the proxy war between a destabilized NATO and Pax Armata, a PMC with unknown benefactors and a plan for armed peace…

Multiplayer - All-Out Warfare and Modes Infused with Battlefield DNA Across 12 Maps

From California and Bavaria to the hallowed ground of Operation: Firestorm, Battlefield 6 includes 12 maps - nine from its worldwide launch and three additional maps from seasonal updates - for you and your squad to conquer. Each of these maps are carefully hand-crafted into Combat Zones for each mode, maximizing quality and action to fit the size of the lobby. 

Core to Battlefield 6’s mode selection are the All-Out Warfare experiences: Conquest, Rush, Breakthrough and, new to the franchise, Escalation, where frontlines shift and reinforcement vehicles arrive as the battle escalates. All of these modes feature the largest team sizes, expansive Combat Zones, and - depending on the map - both land and air vehicles to bring the fight beyond boots on the ground.

There are also several classic FPS modes infused with Battlefield DNA: Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Domination, and Strikepoint, a squad vs. squad grudge match where tactics are truly tested. These smaller modes are perfect for those looking for a grounded, military-simulation-styled combat experience, tuning their loadouts and honing their strategy with squadmates to earn a hard-fought victory.

Lock and Load - Dozens of Weapons, Gadgets, and Lethal Solutions Across Four Iconic Classes

Battlefield is about empowering your squad to play the way you want. Choose from four core classes: Assault, the frontline killers, Engineer, the vehicle specialist, Support, the defensive backbone, and Recon, the neutralizing tactician, each with distinct perks and gadgets. Across all classes are over 30 Gadgets, each providing offensive, defensive, reconnaissance, or counter-intelligence benefits.

Every Class also specializes in a Signature Weapon Category, which gives them additional passive benefits while using a weapon from this category, and also is their exclusive category in traditional “Closed Weapon” playlists.

As of Season 2 launch, Battlefield 6 includes over 40 Primary Weapons, ranging from close-quarters options (Shotguns and SMGs) to long-range tools (Sniper Rifles) and everything in between, plus six Secondary sidearms. Level up these weapons and make use of Weapon Packages to discover hundreds of attachment combinations that could shave those decisive milliseconds off every battle.

The latest Seasonal Update - Season 2, which launched today - takes thrill of all-out war to another level, introducing VL-7 psychoactive smoke, distorting the battlefield with its non-lethal  hallucinogenic effects, 3 new weapons, 2 new gadgets, the return of the legendary AH-6 Little Bird, and a brand-new map: Contaminated.

New Featured Content - Contaminated

The newest map out of Battlefield 6’s dozen, Contaminated is set on a European mountainside where you can wage all-out war across the crucial German airbase. Grapple over the rocky terrain in this expansive battleground where crucial satellite intelligence is at stake and - in the VL-7 limited-time mode - avoid the psychoactive smoke that adds another dimension to the battle at hand.

Depending on your faction - NATO or Pax Armata - your rally point is either the Alliance Staging Point or in the Subterranean Base Entrance, with most objectives set from the Siedfried Line down to the Zone C Bunker and over to the POHL Control Center. The only way to learn is by playing… But with that in mind, we have three quick tips to set you in the right direction:

1. Many Paths to Victory. A core concept around Battlefield 6’s Multiplayer, from combat design to maps, Contaminated features numerous flanking routes and intricate tunnels, especially underneath the massive hill that houses the Hagental Tunnel. Adjust your loadouts and reposition your squad to take advantage of these open or enclosed spaces, and you are sure to dominate objectives across the map.
2. Say Hello to a “Little Bird” Friend. The new AH-6 Little Bird helicopter (or Pax Armata’s equivalent) is one of several equalizers against enemies on the high ground. If a few Recon soldiers are causing problems, use this helicopter - or the Transport Helicopter - to dart across the map quickly and rain down minigun fire.
3. Stick With Your Squad. Contaminated, like most larger maps in Battlefield 6, are tough to tackle with a split-up squad. When redeploying back into the fight, try to spawn on a squadmate, on a squadmate’s Assault Beacon, or at a nearby objective to get back to supporting your team and outnumbering the opposition.
