2. DEFINITIONS
For purposes of these Event Rules, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:
2.1. Governing Documents
Official Rules: The FC Pro 26 Official Rules, which apply to all FC Pro competitions and are incorporated herein by reference.
Event Rules: These Event Rules governing the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers (the “Event”).
2.2. Competition Structure
Event: A competitive tournament conducted as part of the FC Pro ecosystem, governed by both these Event Rules and the Official Rules.
Swiss Format: A tournament structure in which Competitors are paired against others with similar match records in each round, with all Competitors playing the same predetermined number of rounds.

Upper Bracket: The portion of a Double Elimination Bracket in which Competitors begin the tournament and remain until their first Match loss.
Lower Bracket: The portion of a Double Elimination Bracket in which Competitors are placed after their first Match loss and in which a second Match loss results in elimination from the Event.
Grand Final: The final Match or series of Matches in a Double Elimination Bracket, contested between the winner of the Upper Bracket and the winner of the Lower Bracket.
Bracket Reset: A circumstance in a Double Elimination Bracket where the Competitor advancing from the Lower Bracket defeats the Competitor advancing from the Upper Bracket in the Grand Final, thereby requiring an additional Match to ensure that both Competitors have incurred an equal number of losses prior to determining the winner.
2.3. Roles
Competitor: Any individual who is registered for, and actively participating in, gameplay within an Event.
Coach: Any individual designated to provide strategic or logistical assistance to a Competitor during an Event.

3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1. General Eligibility
Eligibility to participate in the Event shall be determined in accordance with the FC Pro 26 Official Rules.
3.2. Qualification Requirement
To obtain qualification into the Event, a Competitor must have participated in the FC Pro Open Ladder and achieved a placement within the designated qualifying positions for their respective region, as set forth in Section 5.2.1 of the FC Pro 26 Official Rules.
4. EVENT FORMAT
4.1. Schedule
The Event shall be conducted across two (2) consecutive days, on October 11 and October 12, 2025.
4.1.1. Day One - Swiss Format
On October 11, all eligible regions shall participate in a Swiss Format competition.
The number of rounds to be played shall be determined by Event Officials following completion of Check-In.
A Competitor shall be eliminated from the Swiss Format stage upon incurring three (3) Match losses.
All other Competitors shall continue play until the conclusion of all scheduled rounds.
At the conclusion of the Swiss Format, the top-ranked Competitors, as determined by the criteria below, shall advance to Day Two.
4.1.1.1. Tiebreakers
In the event that two (2) or more Competitors have identical records at the conclusion of the Swiss Format, standings shall be determined according to the following criteria, applied in order:
Opponent Match-Win Percentage (OMW%) – The average match-win percentage of each Competitor’s opponents. A Competitor’s match-win percentage is calculated as that Competitor’s total match points divided by the total match points possible in those rounds. For purposes of this calculation, any match-win percentage lower than 0.33 shall be considered to be 0.33.
Game-Win Percentage (GW%) – The percentage obtained by dividing the total number of game points earned by the total game points possible (generally three (3) times the number of games played). For purposes of this calculation, any game-win percentage lower than 0.33 shall be considered to be 0.33.
Opponent’s Opponent Match-Win Percentage (OOW%) – The average match-win percentage of each Competitor’s opponents’ opponents, using the same calculation method and 0.33 floor described above.
Default Sorting Order – Any additional sorting criteria as determined by Event Officials, provided such criteria are applied consistently and fairly across all Competitors
4.1.2. Day Two – Double Elimination Bracket
On October 12, all Competitors advancing from the Swiss Format shall participate in a Double Elimination Bracket.
Competitors shall begin in the Upper Bracket. A Competitor who loses a Match in the Upper Bracket shall be placed into the Lower Bracket.
A Competitor shall be eliminated from the Event upon incurring two (2) Match losses.
The Double Elimination Bracket shall continue until the designated number of qualifying Competitors has been determined, as set forth in Section 5.2.2.2 of the FC Pro 26 Official Rules.
Upon the determination of the required number of qualifiers pursuant to Section 5.2.2.2, the Event shall be deemed concluded.
4.1.2.1. Match Format
Each Match in the Double Elimination Bracket will consist of two (2) legs.
The higher-seeded Competitor shall host the first leg, and hosting rights shall alternate for the second leg.
Aggregate score across both legs will determine the Match winner.
In the event of a tied aggregate score, standard in-game tiebreaker rules (Extra Time and Penalties, if required) shall apply.
4.2. Check-In Procedure
All Competitors must complete Check-In within the time period designated by Event Officials prior to the commencement of Day One.
Failure to complete Check-In within the designated time shall result in the Competitor being deemed a No Show and subject to removal from the Event.
Upon completion of Check-In, Event Officials shall finalize the total number of active Competitors and determine the number of Swiss Format rounds to be played.
Event Officials shall have sole discretion to modify or extend Check-In deadlines in the event of technical issues, system errors, or other circumstances beyond a Competitor’s reasonable control.
4.3. Seeding
Initial seeding for the Swiss Format shall be determined by Event Officials, using results from the FC Pro Open Ladder as the primary basis.
Seeding for the Double Elimination Bracket shall be based on the final standings of the Swiss Format, as determined pursuant to Section 4.1.2.

False or bad-faith reporting may result in penalties under Section A6 (Penalties) of the FC Pro 26 Official Rules.
