After two days of incredible goals, thrilling matchups, and shocking upsets, the 2024 CONMEBOL eLibertadores is now complete and we have a new champion in NathanSR22.
Although NathanSR22 was the FC Pro Player who lifted the trophy and took home $35,000 in prize pool money, he and fellow finalist, GuiBarros, also gained entry to the FC Pro World Championship that will take place this summer.
Here’s a recap of everything that happened during Day 2 of CONMEBOL eLibertadores.
Quarter-finals

Despite conceding zero goals during Day 1 of CONMEBOL eLibertadores, Resende was unable to stop them from flying in during his quarter-final match against Dudu27.
The Brazilian was a stood out due to his incredible defense on the first day of the tournament, but that same defense was nowhere to be seen against his opponent. On the other hand, Dudu27 was a sharpshooter in front of goal, taking every big chance to send his fellow Brazilian crashing out of the tournament.

NathanSR22 annihilated Sebaluoni in their quarter-final match, leaving the Argentinian with his head in his hands following a devastating 8-2 loss.
The Miners representative was at his offensive best in this game, producing wave after wave of attack to keep his opponent under constant pressure. Sebaluoni failed to perform at the level we’ve seen from him in previous games, which ultimately led to him suffering a decisive defeat.
GuiBarros and Gueric10 had an epic quarter-final match that might go down as the most dramatic games of the entire tournament. GuiBarros was 3-0 at one point, but a thrilling fight back from Gueric10 nearly took them to extra time. However, GuiBarros pulled off a fantastic team move that ultimately led to the winning goal.
Giuliano20013 maintained his momentum from Day 1 with a resounding 3-1 victory over Fonesca. His win will be most remembered for his devastating attacking play with TOTY Mbappe, scoring an incredible trivela to secure his spot in the semis.
Semi-finals
NathanSR22 not only booked his place in the CONMEBOL eLibertadores, but also secured his spot in the FC Pro World Championship following his 4-2 win over Dudu27.
Despite the scoreline, it wasn’t an easy victory for the Miners’ FC Pro Player as he had to come-from-behind against his opponent and remain composed despite the crowd booing him throughout.
However, he simply wouldn’t be denied, as he forced his way into the finals with some incredible attacking play. A standout moment from the match involved the Brazilian celebrating in front of the crowd that were booing him at a silenced crowd.

GuiBarros also secured his spot in the final with a thrilling, back-and-forth game against Giuliano20013. There were 8 goals in this game, as both FC Pro Players put defense to the side and have attack-focused tactics.
However, it was GuiBarros who came out on top in this matchup, putting him on course to face his teammate in the final.
Final

Two Miners’ FC Pro Players competed in the grand final of the CONMEBOL eLibertadores, but only one could lift the trophy and this time it was NathanSR22. The first-half between NathanSR22 and GuiBarros was a tense one, but once the second-half began, he quickly took over and began to score at will.
As we’ve seen throughout the tournament, NathanSR22 had a potent offense that opponents have struggled to deal with and GuiBarros suffered the same fate. Sadly for GuiBarros, his opponent was playing on a completely different level in this game and he could not stop him from getting a resounding 6-0 victory.
It’s an impressive end to an already incredibly exciting tournament that lived up to its lofty expectations.
