Following the completion of the eMLS Cup group stage, we now have confirmation of who will be competing in the eMLS Cup on March 10 at SXSW and we also know which items they’ve drafted into their teams.

Each player was given a budget of 13 million to use when drafting their squads for the eMLS Cup. We’ve got the full list of who the 12 participants drafted and the picks range from obvious to surprising.

Ranking the most popular items at the eMLS Cup

Goalkeepers

New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel was the most selected goalkeeper of the eMLS Cup, having been picked by 7 out of the 12 FC 24 players competing in this tournament. He’s a shrewd purchase at 44,000 coins, especially when you consider the amount other players have spent on ICON Van der Sar and TOTY ICON Cech.

Trailblazers Brayan Vera was a favourite amongst the FC Pro Players, having been picked up nine times during the draft. His price of 26,500 coins, along with his fantastic defensive attributes - made him quite the bargain.

Liverpool main man Virgil van Dijk and Russian legend Lev Yashin came in at second place, but having any one of these items is sure to solidify their defence.

Speaking of defensive bargains, Kai Wagner was picked by the vast majority of FC 24 Players during this draft. Considering he only costs 13,250 coins and has 80+ attributes for defence, pace, physical, he’s a no-brainer for those competing in the cup

Midfielders

The trio of TOTY Kevin De Bruyne, ICON Xavi, and ICON Lothar Matthaus were on the mind of nearly every FC 24 Player competing in the eMLS Cup. Other than doolsta, each player had one or two of these items in their midfield.

Look out for those who have a combination of TOTY De Bruyne and ICON Xavi in their teams. With De Bruyne having a Ping Pass Playstyle+ and Xavi utilising the Long Ball Pass Playstyle+ in their arsenal, they have the weapons needed to open up a defence with ease.
