Following a fantastic day of FC 24 action, we now know who will be competing in the knockout stages of the eSerie A TIM Finals.

The likes of Obrun, DaniPitbull and Luconegua will join Hezers and Antonini Gabriel in tomorrow’s quarter-finals, making tomorrow’s tournament a must-see event for the entire FC community.

Here’s a recap of all the action from Day 1 of the eSerie TIM Finals.

AC Monza vs Udinese (Winner’s Challenge match)

After winning the “Winners’ Challenge” match, AC Monza’s Hezers has chosen to compete against Cagliari in tomorrow’s Final Eight following a solid 3-2 win over Antonin Gabriel.

Despite Gabriel scoring the most goals during the eSerie A TIM regular season, it was the Udinese man who was on the other end of a thrashing this time as Hezers put three impressive goals past him to secure the victory.

A late goal from Gabriel provided some hope of a comeback. but Hezers was able to retain the ball and shut his opponent down.

Fiorentina vs US Salernitana

ExeedVirgil_ and Darkley11 had a close match up that had plenty of back and forth moments. Both players had scored before the 25 minute mark, which made many believe we were in for a goalfest.

However, the game turned into a tense match where both players had plenty of chances, but failed to convert them. It was only when Darkley11 made a mistake halfway up the pitch that Virgil was able to capitilise with Ronaldinho and score an outrageous Trivela shot to win the game.

Considering the Brazilian legend has a Trivela playstyle, he was the perfect player for Virgil to use at that moment.

Juventus Dsyre vs Empoli FC eSports

Two-time eSerie A TIM champion DaniPitbull squeaked out a 3-2 win over XSales98 in their knockout round matchup.

Many expected Pitbull to annihilate the Empoli player and it looked like that might be the case after he scored in the 2nd minute. However, XSales refused to stay down, scoring two goals to make the Juventus Dsyre sweat.

However, XSales didn’t have another chance to draw level with his opponent, sending him crashing out of the tournament.

Genoa eSports vs Frosinone Calcio Esports

Oliboli didn’t let his performances during the regular season stop him from keeping his eSerie A TIM title hopes alive, as he came back from behind to defeat FabioRabi01 4-3 in their game.

It was a rollercoaster of a matchup as neither player could keep the lead. At one point in the second half, it looked like FabioRabi01 would secure a 3-2 win and take on DaniPitbull in the next round.

However, Oliboli- who had lost four out of six during the regular season - refused to be denied as he scored two goals to stage a dramatic comeback and secure a 4-3 victory.

Torino FC eSports vs Sassuolo eSports

Luconegua crushed Storari in their matchup, smashing his opponent 6-2 to lock in his spot in the knockout rounds.

Luca’s attack was relentless, as he tore Storari apart seemingly with every attack. The Sassuolo man tried valiantly to reduce the scoreline, but his opponent’s attack was so potent that he couldn’t stop leaking goals.

Luconegua defeats Storari 6-2

Verona | Exeed vs Bologna FC 1909 eSports

Obrun cruised to an emphatic 5-0 victory against Lonewolf92, showing that he’s someone other players will want to avoid during the knockout rounds.

It took awhile for the Verona | Exeed player to find his groove against LoneWolf, but once he found it he was simply unstoppable. Four goals in the second half - including a spectacular Trivela from Candreva for his third goal - provided the most dominant performance of the day.

Cagliari Esports vs US Lecce eSports

Cosimo Guarnieri had an incredibly close match against Flokox, eventually beating his opponent 2-1 in the final game of the knockout rounds.

It was an incredibly tense matchup as both players attempted to create chances, but solid defending from them both stopped the goals from flying in.

It took Guarnieri using his veteran skills to score a fantastic header in the second half to get the win and lock in his spot in the knockout rounds.
