The latest episode of the Full Chemistry Vodcast is now out and features highly-regarded Team Gullit FC 24 coach Renzo Omerawsingh.

Luckily for FC 24 fans, Frankie and FG also asked Renzo one of the biggest questions in the FC community. How do you stop Erling Haaland when he attacks the near-post during corners?

It’s become one of the most effective ways to score a goal during the FC Pro schedule and many have failed in finding a way to counter it.

Luckily for us, Renzo believes he’s got the answer to this very tricky scenario.

“The most effective way of raising your chances [of stopping Erling Haaland at a corner] is this. When you see the cut-scene after your shot has been deflected for a corner, you can already start pressing R3 so you can move your goalkeeper,” said Renzo

“Almost immediately after you’ve conceded the corner kick, you put your hand on the right stick and start moving [to the near post] already.”

Not only is moving your goalkeeper an essential part of stopping Erling Haaland from scoring a thumping header, but it’s also important to ensure that the player marking him can go toe-to-toe with his physical attributes.

“I would still just use Erling Haaland if I had him [to defend against Haaland on corners], but then again you just try to go with the tallest defender. Actually, I’d say you need the strongest defender because the only way you can try to defend him is when you’re able to push him.”
