Levi De Weerd

Netherlands international star Levi De Weerd was one of the in-form players in last year’s title, and he kicked off his FC24 campaign with a number of strong performances at the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier.

Levi has a sporting background behind him, having played for Eredivisie sides FC Twente and Vitesse at youth level in football, before deciding to focus on esports, where he is known for his attacking style of play on the pitch.

The 19-year-old currently represents Team Gullit, who he joined at 15, in an esports career that has seen him establish himself as one of the top players in Europe West.

He kicked off the year in impressive fashion with victory at the EA Sports Cup to take home the top prize of $50,000. He earned two further significant wins in the summer with a top-four finish at the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023, and a top two while playing for the Netherlands at the FIFAe Nations Cup.

He could be set to go up against two teammates at the FC Pro Open, with Emre Yilmaz and ManuBachoore also qualifying for the competition, although any all-Team Gullit match-up will have to wait until after the group stages. Levi must first navigate a difficult group including Obrun, Fouma, The10S, and Manchester City’s Tekkz, who he narrowly lost out 2-1 to on day one of the Global Qualifiers in London.

His journey in the FC Pro Open will begin in week four on December 18 when Group D take to the stage, before concluding in the final week of the competition in week eight on January 29.
