FIFA Global Series Returns to In-Person Events in Asunción, Stockholm, and London

  • Last month we held our first in-person event in over two years with our eLibertadores Finals in Asunción, Paraguay. PHzin of R10 took down teammate Mh7 in the grand finals without dropping a single set to continue his dominating season. Next, across the Atlantic we have our eChampions League Knockout Stage and Team of the Season Cup.

  • 32 players from across Europe have qualified to compete in the eChampions League Knockout Stage on April 23rd and 24th. Of those, 8 will continue onto the eChampions League Final on May 27th. All matches will take place in Stockhom, Sweden as players play for a share of over $280,000.

  • We will also see a return to in-person global FIFA competition for the first time with the Team of the Season Cup on April 29th to May 1st. The 16 FGS Masters Teams and the 16 winners of the FGS Open competitions will come in from around the world to meet in London, England. You’ll see favourites from teams like Fnatic, Complexity, and FUTWIZ play for a share of the $500,000 prize pool.

  • As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, our top priority remains to protect our competitors, employees, tournament partner staff, and communities, so we’ll continue to follow advice from health officials (including the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO)). For this reason, the Team of the Season Cup will not have an open bracket as originally planned.

  • Our largest 1v1 global competition yet will take place on July 1st to 3rd in London, England bringing 128 players from around the world to compete in the final stage of play before the FIFAe World Cup. 32 players will remain at the end of the competition – the first solo competition between players across continents in two years.

  • FIFA esports is a global, social phenomenon. We’re excited to return to both global and in-person play so competitors can play in peak condition. The energy of a live event is unmatched and we can’t wait to showcase it to you next month!
