Greetings Ring-bearers,
After months of waiting, speculation, and of course, preparation, we’re proud to announce that the Mines of Moria raid will be coming to The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth™ on July 26, 2023.
As previously mentioned, we'll be releasing the raid in a chapter-by-chapter format. For the Mines of Moria raid, there will be 4 chapters.
Reminder: You’ll need to be at player level 30 and be part of a guild in order to participate.
Chapter 1 - They Are Coming
Starts: July, 2023.
Chapter 2 - Doom, Doom…
Starts: August, 2023.
Chapter 3 - Blades in the Dark
Starts: September, 2023.
Chapter 4 - A Shadow and A Flame
Starts: October, 2023.
(Dates are not final and are subject to change.)
For the Mines of Moria Raid and its chapters there are no restrictions on what characters or teams you can choose to use.
When it comes to rewards you can look forward to a new powerful character. Introducing…
Gandalf the Grey
“I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. You cannot pass.The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udûn. Go back to the Shadow! You cannot pass.” - Gandalf, The Fellowship of the Ring.
The immensely powerful and loyal Istari (Wizard), responsible for bringing the Fellowship together and leading the charge against Sauron, is none other than Gandalf the Grey
Gandalf the Grey’s character kit will come shortly. “Have patience”, said Gandalf.
Note: Gandalf the Grey character shards are one of the major rewards of the raid, and it’ll take several chapters in order to collect and summon him.
As a reminder, there will be two places to obtain rewards:
- A Guild Reward Track
- Your own Personal Reward Track
Both reward tracks may contain the following items:
- Gold currency
- Character XP
- Gold Raid Coins (for use in the Raid Shop)
- Mithril Raid Coins (for use in the Raid Shop)
- Gandalf the Grey Character Shards.
In your Personal Reward Track you will have the ability to earn all of the above listed rewards in addition to Gems.
In your Guild Reward Track you will also see Ability Materials (Uncommon and Rare) as well as Crystals (Light and Shadow).
An important note: Your rewards will increase with every Raid Chapter release which includes the amount of Gandalf the Grey character shards you can earn. Note that the rewards you see as part of your Guild Reward Track is for the entire Mines of Moria Raid duration, and does not change or refresh between chapters.
Remember, a raid is a marathon (the Dwarves were renowned for their endurance!). You and your guild mates will not conquer all of its challenges or unlock all the rewards at once, but with careful and strategic preparation and of course time, greatness awaits.
