School’s In Session
Welcome to the first post in our new series, Madden Mobile 101!
This series is designed to be your guide to mastering Madden NFL 26 Mobile, covering everything from basic mechanics to advanced strategies.
In each installment, we'll break down a different aspect of the game to help you build a dominant team and conquer the gridiron. To kick things off, we’re diving into a brand new feature for this year's game that can give your players the decisive edge they need: Player Traits.
What Are Player Traits?
Want to give your players a crucial edge on the field? That's where Player Traits come in. New to Madden NFL 26 Mobile this year, these are special abilities that can change the game, helping your players pull off slick spin moves or powerful trucking runs more successfully.
Madden NFL 26 Mobile features 24 unique traits. While a few give a direct stat boost, most are conditional. This means they activate when a specific event happens, like getting a boost to your passing success on a first down play.
This means you have full control, allowing you to equip and unequip these traits as you see fit.
How to Get and Use Traits
In Madden NFL 26 Mobile there are few ways to get Player Traits!
For Tier I (Uncommon) and Tier II (Rare) traits, you can use either Madden Coins or Silver Keys to get Basic Trait Packs.
If you're looking for a Tier III (Epic) trait, you can use either Madden Cash or Gold Keys to get Premium Trait Packs.
You can find all of these packs by going to Trades > Core > Player Traits.
You can earn Silver and Gold Keys by completing Field Pass Milestones, Journeys, and Goals.
Equipping and Unequipping Traits
Managing your traits is simple.
- Go to your Players list.
- Select the player you want to equip a trait on.
- Tap the "Traits" button.
- Choose an empty slot and select a trait from your inventory.
- Hit "Equip".
To unequip a trait, just follow the same steps and choose the "Unequip" button instead.
Keep in mind that the number of traits a player can have depends on their rarity:
- Uncommon and Rare players have one slot.
- Epic players have two slots.
- Iconic players and up have three slots
Trait Tiers
Just like players, traits have a rarity tier system:
Tier I (Uncommon), Tier II (Rare), Tier III (Epic), Tier IV (Iconic), and Tier V (Mythic).
A trait's tier cannot exceed the player's tier. So, you can equip an Uncommon trait on an Iconic player, but you can't equip an Iconic trait on an Uncommon player.
Upgrading Traits
To upgrade a trait, you'll need five copies of the same trait. Head to Trades > Player Trait Upgrades, where you can exchange those five copies for one trait of the next tier.
You can see all the traits you own in the Items menu under the "Trait Tokens" tab. This section shows every trait, from highest to lowest tier, and tells you how many you currently have.
During a game, you'll know a trait is working when a special pop-up message appears on the right side of your screen.
Exchanging A Player
Don’t worry about losing your equipped traits if you decide to exchange a player.
Traits are separate from player cards and will automatically return to your inventory.
Knowledge Is Power
Player Traits are an awesome new feature in Madden NFL 26 Mobile that can impact your gameplay.
By strategically equipping and upgrading these traits, you can give your favorite players a boost, whether it's a game-changing spin move or a boosted pass on a key down.
You can get new traits through packs and trades, and always keep an eye on a trait's tier and a player's rarity to make the most of your team.
With a little strategy, you'll be ready to take on the field in no time.
