The Need for Speed soundtracks are fueled by a legacy like no other. We’ve introduced landmark tracks such as Snoop Dogg & The Doors’ ‘Riders on the Storm’, Terror Squad’s ‘Lean Back’, Chemical Brothers ‘Go’ and Chiddy Bang’s ‘Opposite Of Adults’.

New music, along with exclusive remixes by Eagles of Death Metal, Pharrell, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Calvin Harris, 30 Seconds to Mars, TV on the Radio, Xzibit, The Black Keys, and hundreds more that have helped define the sound of Need for Speed over the years.

Its long-awaited return represents more than just the next chapter in the series. Need for Speed Payback is a reinvention of the entire Need for Speed soundtrack experience.

Need for Speed Payback has a soundtrack that follows no rules, defies the odds, owns its roads, and does it all with soul, grit and edge that is wholly independent of genre, era and mainstream restrictions. In other words, this is the full-throttle soundtrack that will leave all others in its dust.

Whether it's creating your perfect car, pulling off insane heist missions, outrunning high-speed police pursuits, or just cruising the open world, the games’ distinct car classes – as well as its garage, all feature their own unique soundtracks:

Garage

• Where you build your killer ride. The mood is electronic / ambient with intent grooves, featuring tracks by Spoon, Duckwrth, Bonobo, Rae Sremmurd and SOHN.
  

Race

• Battle your rivals to an intense soundtrack by bands that include Queens of the Stone Age and Nothing but Thieves, plus an all-new song from Warbly Jets.

Drift Events

• Beat the odds with an undeniable swagger of hip-hop and grime jams by Run the Jewels feat. Trina, Stormzy, Lethal Bizzle feat. Skepta, A$AP Ferg feat. Meek Mill and Action Bronson, plus an unreleased track from Tom Morello feat. Leikeli47.

Freeroam

• It’s the places between missions and races, where the music automatically corresponds to the time of day and location you’ve chosen to explore. It’s a radically open-genre soundtrack featuring songs by The Amazons, X Ambassadors, Local Natives, and an exclusive unreleased track by Skepta x Goldie.

Need for Speed Payback also features a sleek and ominous original score by composer Joe Trapanese, best known for blockbusters like The Raid, Tron: Legacy, The Divergent Series: Insurgent and Allegiant, and Straight Outta Compton.
