Sfacciata, audace, fiera e spietata, Kairi Imahara non si fa scrupoli a corrompere e infrangere le regole per ottenere ciò che vuole. Da bambina rubò un Titan. Era quello di suo padre, codice radio Viper. Voleva tanto essere come lui. Ma all'indomani lui partì per andare in missione e non fece mai più ritorno. In un certo senso, Kairi finì per seguire le sue orme: pur non essendo un Titan, la sua nave le permetteva di vivere dignitosamente. La sua vita, però, era tutt'altro che ideale. Di giorno trasportava merce di contrabbando, mentre di notte frequentava fuorilegge e mercenari nei bar. Ma nonostante avesse le sue donne, l'alcol e l'amore per il cielo a tenerla occupata, era ancora ossessionata dal pensiero di dover trovare l'uomo che riteneva responsabile per la morte di suo padre: il comandante Kuben Blisk.
Dopo averlo finalmente trovato, era pronta a ucciderlo. Ma Blisk aveva parlato di suo padre con rispetto, sfidandola ad essere migliore. Lei gli aveva sparato ugualmente. Ma non con l'intenzione di togliergli la vita. Sapere che avrebbe potuto farlo, se solo avesse voluto, le bastava. E non solo: gli aveva anche strappato dalle mani il biglietto di invito per gli Apex Games.
Servendosi del nucleo del Northstar di Viper, Kairi ha costruito un nuovo jetpack in onore della sua memoria. Ora è pronta a spiccare il volo da sola, con una versione rivisitata del Titan di suo padre, e ad intraprendere il cammino a cui è sempre stata destinata.
