Can you tell me what skate. is?

skate. is a free-to-play* online, massive-multiplayer skateboarding sandbox set in the city of San Vansterdam featuring cross-progression and cross-platform gameplay. 

What platforms will skate. be released on?

We’ll be releasing skate. Into Early Access at the end of Summer in 2025 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, with mobile platforms (Android and iOS) to follow later. 

When will skate. release?

skate. will be dropping into Early Access at the end of Summer 2025, but this is only the beginning. We will continue adding to, improving upon, and growing skate. through your feedback in Early Access. 

Is it a new game or remaster?

This isn't a sequel, remake, or a remaster. It's the evolution of the Skate franchise. 

Is it skate. or Skate 4?

It's skate. Just. skate. Period.

What engine is Full Circle using?

We're working with the Frostbite team to power skate. and bring San Vansterdam to life. 

Will skate. have offline mode? 

The simple answer: No. The game and city are designed to be a living, breathing massively multiplayer skateboarding sandbox that is always online and always evolving. 

Are there in-game purchases?

In skate., you’ll be able to unlock cosmetic items through progression, and you can also snag some premium cosmetic items via the optional premium currency known as San Van Bucks.

Will there be updates to the map?

New areas of San Vansterdam will always be free and available to all players via periodic game updates. We won’t be gating new gameplay locations behind paywalls. If it’s there, you can go there.

How can I join the skate. insider program?

Registrations for the skate. Insider Playtesting program are now closed as we prepare for our Early Access launch at the end of Summer. Thank you to all our skate. Insiders for your invaluable passion and feedback!

Can I talk about what I’ve played in a skate. Insider playtest?

We know you’re stoked to talk about the game but please respect the Pre-Release Feedback Agreement and keep discussion and feedback to the appropriate skate Insider Playtest Forum. This applies to text, screenshots, video and streaming!

How can I provide feedback on a skate. Insider playtest?

Once you receive an invitation to playtest you will also receive instructions on how and where to provide feedback in the skate Insider Playtest Forum. We know you’re stoked to talk about the game but please respect the Pre-Release Feedback Agreement and keep discussion and feedback to the Forum.

How and when do I get my exclusive in-game skateboard and sticker rewards* for being a skate. Insider?

skate. insiders who registered before the June 27, 2025 deadline will be granted their in-game skateboard and sticker rewards** when the game is released in Early Access at the end of Summer 2025. We will share more communication around the details and timing as we get closer to our Early Access launch.

Do I need to have played in a skate. insider playtest to receive the rewards** when the game is released in Early Access?

No, you just need to have registered as a skate. insider at any time since the skate. insider playtesting program opened registration and before the registration deadline of June 27, 2025.
