Meet some of our new interns getting their start with EA!

Have you ever wanted to work in video games? Many EA interns go on to grow their careers at EA, and EA offers our interns the opportunity to win a scholarship to assist with the financial impact of their university studies.

We’ll be looking at a few new faces that have recently won EA intern scholarships in this series.

What were you doing when you found out you would be receiving a scholarship?

I was back in EA as a RFT and it was my 2nd day at work. I was organizing my inbox when I found out that I had won the scholarship.

What are you working on at EA?

I work as a Cloud Engineer in TechOps Cloud Engineering Team. I am currently working and learning about automating a lot of things on the virtual infrastructure space in public cloud that hosts a lot of EA games and services.

How did you first get interested in videogames?

I played a lot of games on my pc as a kid. I have fond memories of playing Need for Speed 2, Prince of Persia and Dangerous Dave. Videogames were a big part of my childhood.

What have you had the most fun doing at EA?

The work atmosphere at EA is pretty awesome. While I get to work on some of the latest technologies, I also get to play some really cool games and interact with a diverse set of extremely smart people on the floor.

Do you have any advice for someone looking to break into the industry?

EA has an array of opportunities spanning both technical and non-technical fields.  So if you are good at whatever you are doing, EA might just have an awesome role for you. Also, EA has an amazing University Relations team. They can be your gateway to EA.

If you weren’t working in videogames, what would you be doing?

A tour guide.

What do you hope to be working on in ten years?

I would love to see Virtual Reality take off. I would love to be working on creating new experiences in VR that will change the way we interact with things.

Lightning round: One-word answers, please.

Favorite videogame of all time?
