RESEARCH ENGINEER - DEEP LEARNING

STOCKHOLM

SEED is a new R&D organization within Electronic Arts whose purpose is to explore new technologies and the creative opportunities that they can enable for our future games. Our areas of research include, but are not limited to, virtual reality, procedural content generation, game AI using deep learning, creating truly realistic characters and how we build and render completely new game worlds.

We collaborate with world class teams all across Electronic Arts such as Battlefield, Mass Effect, Need for Speed, Star Wars and Dragon Age, as well as the Frostbite Engine team and upcoming new games.

SEED is looking for a Research Engineer with a specialization in deep learning. We are currently focusing on deep reinforcement learning and generative models.

Who is SEED looking for?

As a Research Engineer working in the deep learning team we expect you to have a passion for the subject.

  • Is your favorite web site arXiv.org and do you read NIPS and ICLR papers with your breakfast?
  • Do you spend evenings implementing deep neural nets in TensorFlow or Torch?
  • Do you ponder how to shape the rewards for your self-learning game playing agents?
  • Are Generative Adversarial Networks really the greatest thing since sliced bread?

In that case, continue reading.

We think that you are an open and curious person who is eager to learn and teach. You get a kick out of transforming bleeding-edge ideas from research papers into implementations, evaluating and experimenting with them, adapting them to real use cases for gaming. As this is a fairly small team, we expect you to be ready to not only to take initiative, but also to work hands-on in our projects.

We also think you have:
  • Expert knowledge in machine learning, specifically around neural networks, and/or reinforcement learning, at PhD level or similar level of experience.
  • Math skills; you know calculus, linear algebra, numerical optimization and probability theory
  • Software engineering skills, you know Python and/or C++
  • The ability to read, understand, and explain to others, scientific papers on state-of-the-art machine learning and computer science, as well as the ability to prototype and evaluate the ideas described in these papers
What’s in it for you?

We take care of our staff! In addition to a competitive compensation package we will offer you:

  • Annual bonus
  • EA stock
  • Flexible work times
  • Occupational pension
  • 10 free EA games per year
  • Free massages
  • A variety of sports activities and health care allowance.
  • We have a collective bargain agreement with Unionen and Sveriges Ingenjörer.

We look forward to receiving your application!
