Modes

All-Out Warfare is the four modes most closely associated with Battlefield’s iconic gameplay.
CONQUEST
Conquest is the home of iconic all-out warfare – where tanks, jets, and attack helicopters turn the tides of battle. This mode often features the largest player count and uses the biggest Combat Zones in official playlists.
Two teams fight to capture and hold multiple control points all over the map. Starting from their headquarters, each team must capture lettered objectives around the Combat Zone by remaining in the objective’s designated area for a set amount of time. The other team can steal the objective at any time, and it can be “contested” when players from both teams are inside the area at the same time, which halts any capture progress.
Each team has a set number of lives (1,000, in default settings); these decrease any time a player is killed without being revived. Lives also decrease due to captured objectives; for every objective under one team’s control, the other team loses one life every couple of seconds.
When a team’s lives hit zero, the battle’s over.
Winning at Conquest comes down to how well a team can manage its resources: both lives and vehicles, which can be used to capture objectives or wipe through infantry forces. Performing revives prevents lives being lost, making every second chance count. Pure slaying also is not recommended, as the constant life drain from objectives can easily rebalance the scales.
Coordinate, communicate and cover your allies as you capture objectives towards ultimate victory.
RUSH
Arm and defuse. Rush is medium-sized team mode across a variety of Combat Zones, although unlike Conquest, it is an "asymmetrical" mode with one team designated as attackers and one team tasked at being defenders. Every Rush match is played with one round by default, meaning a player will only play offense or defense in that given match.
During a Rush match, Attackers and defenders fight for control of a series of Military Communication systems (M-COMs). Attackers must plant explosives at each M-COM system; the M-COM explodes after a set number of seconds (30, by default). Attackers also have a set number of lives, which they must manage while pressing towards objectives.
The Defenders’ objective is to defuse the M-COMs before they detonate; the defusing process takes several seconds to perform, which exposes the Defender to Attackers. Defenders have an unlimited number of lives, but have a slightly longer respawn delay compared to Attackers.
When all M-COMs are destroyed, the fight moves to the next sector. The match ends when all M-COM systems are destroyed, or the Attackers run out of lives.
BREAKTHROUGH
Breakthrough is another asymmetrical Multiplayer large team mode that features a mix of infantry and vehicular combat. Think of this mode as a combination of Conquest and Rush.
At the start of the match, one team is designated as the Attackers while the other are the Defenders. The Combat Zone is divided into sectors that these two sides battle over throughout the match.
Attackers push the frontline forward by capturing both objectives in the given Combat Zone sector. To secure a sector, attackers must hold all control points within it at the same time. Like in Rush, Attacker lives are limited, resetting only after an entire sector is captured.
Defenders hold the line of battle by preventing objective captures with unlimited lives to do so.
The match ends when the attackers either capture all sectors or run out of lives.
ESCALATION
A brand new way to experience Battlefield’s genre-defining gameplay. From precise tactical moments to non-stop action, Escalation puts everything in a soldier’s arsenal to the test.
Two teams fight to capture strategic control points. As the teams expand their territory, fewer and fewer control points remain, creating increasingly intense areas of combat.
This battle for territory culminates in an all-out war, where both sides fight to control the last remaining points on the map.

MODES - INFUSED WITH BATTLEFIELD DNA
Battlefield 6 is also launching with four tactical Multiplayer experiences. These are a mix of modes that have been inspired by classics of FPS. All of these modes have been designed to be elevated by Battlefield’s fundamental design pillars: classes, squad-based gameplay, and a hell of a lot of destruction.
SQUAD DEATHMATCH
Grab a gun and squad up for a fast-paced, close-quarters, deathmatch. Four squads compete for victory with one simple objective: First to reach the kill target wins.
TEAM DEATHMATCH
Pure infantry-focused, high-intensity combat. In TDM, the only objective is to take out the enemy. Most kills wins.
DOMINATION
A fast-paced, close-quarters, infantry-only fight for territory. Score points by capturing and holding objectives. First to reach the point limit wins.
KING OF THE HILL
Get on the point and secure it. This close-quarters battle for territory happens fast. Control points move and cooperation is key.
