EA SPORTS FC™ 27 | Career Mode Developer Launch Update

Welcome to our first Career Mode Developer Update for FC 27!

It’s been great to see so many of you jumping into both Manager and Player Career and exploring some of the new systems in FC 27, including Dynamic OVR and the updated Transfer Market.

We are looking forward to seeing how you engage in transfer sagas, plan your squads, revive the Careers of old stars through Dynamic OVR, and face the challenges of squad building that football managers go through every day.

What We’re Hearing From You

Two areas we’re following particularly closely right now are Stamina and Dynamic OVR. We are seeing some players are enjoying the added squad-building and rotation challenges these systems bring, while others have told us that you’d like to see some additional adjustments. 

Since these are new systems for FC 27, we want to give everyone some more time to play with them and see how the experience develops across longer Career saves before making any significant changes. We’ll continue following your feedback and our data in the meantime.

What We’re Working On

Alongside the areas we’re monitoring, there are a few things the team is working to address:

• Team Management UI: We’ve heard your feedback around the Team Management UI loud and clear. We’re planning visual updates to the Team Management Screen, more in line with what you’re telling us.
• Newly Generated Players With High OVRs: We’ve seen your reports around newly generated players entering Career Mode with higher Starting OVRs than expected, which can affect how squads develop over time. We’ve identified an issue contributing to this and are working on a fix to create a more authentic balance for new players appearing throughout your Career.
• Player Transfer Requests & Playtime: We’re also looking at how quickly players can ask to be transferred as a result of their playtime. We’re reviewing player playtime demands to find a better balance between players expecting minutes on the pitch and the need to rotate your squad and give players time to recover their energy.
• Player Loans and Transfers: We’ve seen your feedback about not getting enough offers for loan-listed and transfer-listed players. We’re working on balancing changes so players receive more offers.
• Liga BBVA MX: Having Liga BBVA MX back in the game is exciting for all of us, but we’re aware of issues affecting how the league currently progresses, including the Clausura portion of the season. We’re working on addressing these issues and bringing the experience more in line with the authentic Liga BBVA MX competition structure.
