Flying Armbar


Having lower stamina than your opponent will make your moves slower and theirs faster. Struggles drain stamina from BOTH fighters. Within submissions, fighters can&#39;t deny at zero stamina. Denying a Fake drains more stamina from the denier than the faker.

Submission Chains are performed with ^LT^ + ^RSDOWN^. Triangle and Kimura can chain to Armbar. And Von Flue to Arm Triangle. Chained Submissions are typically stronger.

You can attempt to escape out of a submission using ^RSRL^. Escapes are often quicker than the opponent&#39;s ability to finish the submission, but can be denied by the attacker.

From the Over Under position, use ^RB^+^X^ to Pull Guard. Use ^RB^+^Y^ to Guard Pull with a Sweep to Mount.

Pulling Guard


Leg Kicks are brutally punishing when landed. Leg Kick damage does not recover over time. So landing a Leg Kick at the start of the fight might not mean much, but they can add up quickly. Leg Kicks can also be checked easily, which causes significant damage to the thrower. Becoming predictable with your Leg Kicks could lead to you being hurt badly.

You can transition to a number of different positions like Single Under by tapping ^RB^ + ^X^ or ^Y^. You can throw different strikes, takedowns or submissions from each position.

A Spinning Back Kick (body) can be performed by pressing ^B^ during a spin. A Spinning Heel Kick (head) can be performed by pressing ^A^ during a spin.

Spinning Kicks


Use ^LS^ to move your opponent around in the Clinch. The Clinch won&#39;t last forever, so time your strikes and attempt your transitions quickly.

New to UFC 5, the Clinch is the close-range, grapple-fight variation of the Stand-up Game. To enter the Clinch, hold ^RB^ and tap ^X^ or ^Y^ (whichever is your Lead hand).

Cage Strikes can be performed by fighters like Anthony Pettis or Jose Aldo. All Cage Strikes require you to move either your back, your side, or the front of your body against the cage when you input the strike and you must be stationary when attempting them.

Cage Kicks


A Spinning Backfist can be performed by pressing ^Y^ during a spin. A Spinning Elbow can be performed by pressing ^X^ during a spin.

Spinning Backfists and Elbows


In order to perform a spinning strike, first you must spin. You can spin clockwise (while standing Orthodox) by pressing ^A^+^B^, and the opposite direction by pressing ^LB^+^A^+^B^. After triggering the spin, immediately press an attack button (^A^, ^B^, ^X^, or ^Y^) to perform a spinning attack. Some fighters have access to additional spinning kicks that use the ^LB^, ^RB^, or ^LT^ modifiers in conjunction with ^A^ or ^B^. Some fighters have different spinning attacks available depending on the direction of the spin so experiment accordingly.

How to Spin


While throwing a strike, your own Strike Vulnerability increases; in other words, you take more damage if you are hit while attempting to throw your own strike. Time your strikes carefully!

Active Strike Vulnerability


Body Roundhouse Kicks when landed flush can cause significant Body Damage to your opponent. It also eats up your opponent&#39;s Maximum Stamina. Becoming predictable with your Body Roundhouse Kicks means your opponent can easily catch them. See Catch Kicks in Striking DEFENSE.

^LT^ + ^A^ or ^B^

Body Roundhouse Kick


A good way to deter a kickboxer is to close the distance and pressure them. You can counter this by pushing your opponent. You can push a fighter who is attempting to crowd you with ^RT^+^X^+^A^ (^Y^+^B^ for Southpaw). Pushing your opponent can combine with a Roundhouse Kick.

**Inputs:**
